I just saw this post Jaded, what a great idea. I spent 20 years in the military and spent many Christmas' away from home as well. Please let me add my best wishes and thoughts and prayers for our countries best. I know it is hard to be away from home, especially this time of year but their sacrifices are appreciated. Guys/ladies, we love you, we miss you, we support you and hurry home.

Well, I am not really sure why the unpopularity of this thread. I am hoping it's me! Because I can live with that no problem!

I do understand the unpopularity of this war and will not get into wether we should even be there or not!

What I am going to do is pass on some FREE advice. Not really concerned if you take the advice or not. But, it's just something I feel that needs to be said........

It is perfectly normal to hate war!

But don't hate the American warriors! These men and women give their lives each day so you can drag your fat ass to a Christmas party...

Just some advice from a ol'e Nam vet. This country turned it's back on my generation when we returned and I'll be damned in fucking hell if I'll allow you to do that to this generation of soldier...

With that I will allow this thread to sink and disappear! I have said all that I will say on this subject. I would never fight for this country again. It's not the country I pledged to serve...
