How do I change the program used to open PDFs in Firefox? My pages keep closing down because I don't have Adobe Acrobat Professional. I've tried to switch it too Adobe Reader, but it still loads with AAP.

I've tried downloading another PDF reader for Firefox, but that doesn't seem to be working either ... Is there another program I can download that fixes my problem? I'm getting so pissed, as I view a lot of lectures in PDF format. Grrr.

You can download a stand a lone Adobe Reader that will deal with any pdf's - here's the link http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO

I have no problem saving it on my computer and viewing it from there. But I'd rather not have that hassle. :cattail:

If you have reader on the system, you can open Windows Explorer and then go to Tools, Then Folder Options, then File Types and you can configure each file extension for what ever program you want to open that type of file...

It seems to work now that I've downloaded the latest version of adobe. Thanks modbus! :)

Your welcome.... if Acrobat takes control, you can always change the parameters the way I described for any file.
