PC to Phone free program needed

I have been looking for a program that will allow me to call from my PC in Australia, to a telephone in the USA and other countries, but i have yet to find one that is free.

If you know of one, could you please let me know, or send me an email.

This may help until you find the program you are looking for. This isn't the same but you and someone else can use the AOL Instant Messanger to talk online with the voice chat option. I have done it and it isn't so bad.

www.dialpad.com is good. I used to use it alot. It can do comp to comp and comp to phone calls. If you are gonna use this alot i recomend a headset with a built in mike. I bought mine from dialpad and it is a very nice digital unit. This will cut back on the feedback and echo effect that a mike and speakers will give.

Yahoo messanger can also do comp to phone calls but i have never used it so don't know about quality.

I've used Yahoo Messenger to make PC to phone calls, and sometimes the connection is great and sometimes it's really bad. When it's bad, you just hang up and call again. I haven't made any of those calls in a couple of months though, so who knows? Maybe the reliability has improved.
