Paul Reubens, Pee Wee Herman, dead at 70

I’m aware he had some issues in his past, but the few times I saw him perform on tv growing up I was entertained, so I won’t speak ill of him. RIP Paul. Thx for the good work you put out (I remember Pee Wee’s Playhouse and the original Buffy movie). May a higher power forgive your sins if that was important to you or those who cared about you. I’m a spiritual agnostic per most recent decision, and I don’t know what Paul was (not that big a fan of him or any specific tradition), so though I hope for the latter situation I’m not getting specific with it. Hope most other posters here will do the same.

Paul Reubens created an amazing character in Pee Wee Herman that had unbelievable longevity. The comedy act that led to the Saturday morning tv show, then the trio of funny PeeWee movies. And many years later returning to revive that character on Broadway for an adult fan base that loved him.

Everybody has skeletons in the closet. Not the right place to criticize the man on a tribute page.

Always got a kick out of his movies as they ran non-stop on HBO. What’s amazing is how he pops up in bit parts scatared through a couple of Cheech&Chong films, The Blues Brothers, and other cult or classic fair.

RIP Paul

Praise be to Allah for Roars and his reporting because, like no one in the broadcast and internet news covered that story. WIthout Roars, we would have never known that the strange little guy died.
