I couldn't let this thread sit with only one comment about Raquel Welch after her dying.
I don't watch television or the mainstream media news, haven't in about ten years. So I didn't even know she passed away until I saw your title.
It's not like she was some amazing actress but she had her place and made her mark on the world with her beauty and body and for being an intelligent woman who didn't let anyone present her as a bimbo because she wasn't, or at least it didn't seem like she was. I was really young when she became legendary for her non speaking role as the cave woman in the calf skin bikini. I may have only been six or seven years old the first time I saw that movie but, I was definitely aware of
