All right, all of you who talk sports all year. Let's see how well you know your shit. Who's going to win Super Bowl XXXLLLLCCCXXIIIVVIIIXXXCCCLLLx10^pi?

Who's willing to go on record with a prediction?

I'll go with the Pats this time. Though the Giants look to have a very good shot.

No predictions from me.....yet. Everyone be quiet, I need to think.

I would go with Pats, close, maybe 24-21.

Can't shake the feeling that the Giants don't really deserve to be there. Should be a good game though. I'm OK with either team winning.

This time it will be the Pats. Last time around they were cocky and they were also one dimensional. All game long it was throwing deep and hoping Moss would run under it.

This time around the Pats have Hernandez and Gronkowski, and Green Ellis, Woodhead and Ridley are better than the Maroney/Faulk combo we had in 2007

Plus there is the revenge factor as well. I think it will be Pats 31-17

I wonder how badly Gronkowski was hurt this afternoon.

with Belichek we'll never know, it will be a big state secret for the next 2 weeks. Gronk did come back out onto the field after it though so can't be too bad.

Oh, did it? I missed that. I thought he stayed out. Fuck it, then, he's fine.

There's gonna be a Manning playing in Indy after all. That's kinda neat. I sure as fuck hope the Pats get their asses handed to them.

One thing the Giants do very well is pressure the QB, and that's about the only way to beat Brady. They also throw the ball very well, which exploits the Patriots' biggest weakness. Not to mention the collective aneurysm across the NFL landscape if Eli Manning beats Tom Brady again...

I'm gonna go with the Giants, 31-23.

Eli gets no credit and I'm one of those that doesn't give it to him but fact is he's already won a SB against an undefeated team and now he's going to another and much of it is because of him. Not all of course and let's face it, that winning catch a few years ago was because of a heads up play by the receiver not because Eli did anything great. Still, the guy has them in the game with a real shot at winning. More than 30 other QB's can say.

I think the Patriots get their revenge. They seem to be peaking at the right time.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Tight end Rob Gronkowski, a key target for quarterback Tom Brady on the New England Patriots' march to the Super Bowl, had his right foot amputated late Sunday night following the misdiagnosis of a compound fracture.
Gronkowski suffered the injury early in the game, though he didn't leave the field with the assistance of medical staff until midway through the second quarter. By that time, medical experts agree, it was probably too late to save Gronkowski's foot.
An air of urgency regarding the injury surfaced about 30 minutes after the game, when Gronkowski noticed heavy blood flow while removing his uniform. Gronkowski lost consciousness shortly after notifying medical staff.
A spokesman at Boston Orthopedic Hospital said Gronkowski's prospects for survival were "touch and go" prior to the amputation, but now that the surgery is complete he should be out of danger.

I can't get past the fact that the Giants went 9-7 this season.

Of course, they should have the "neutral" fans behind them because they will be underdogs, besides which Indianapolis hates the Patriots on principle. If New England turns the damn ball over like their last two opponents have, the Giants will certainly have a shot.

Hah!

You know, I was rooting for the Giants, because I was surrounded by New Yorkers, mostly, but I have to say neither they nor San Fran looked like SB winers to me tonight. They were well matched, but well matched at some level beneath "champions."

But what the hell do I know? I don't even know why I'm watching the games this year.

We have the offense to match Brady & Co. point-for-point and a defense above and beyond theirs.

Advantage, Giants.

SB score: 34-22 Giants
