I received an email this morning and I wanted to share some of the images. This is something that is apparently being forwarded around the net. If anyone would like the whole thing, email me @ kit4u38@hotmail.com and I'll send it along.

<smiling softly>....your political cartoons....triggered a memory....right after September 11th....my then four year old...was digging through our newspaper, cutting out stuff....and came across a political cartoon......of the statue of liberty crying.....face distraught.....tears streaming.....simple....powerful image...

i can still see my daughter's lil face....the concern...her lil eyes watering....as she peered up at me and asked...."Why is the Statue of Yiberty crying, Mommy?"....

Ginny,

It's been so long since my children were little (they're 18 & 21) that I've forgotten how tender and innocent they once were.

9-11 touched so many people, young and old.

Thanks for sharing.

another image...

I think this image can be read as either patriotic or anti-patriotic... a reflection on the (possibly) frivolous number of American flags that popped up across the nation after the attacks.

I guess I hadn't looked at it like that, but it could be seen that way. Maybe it was meant that way, no real way to know.

Thanks!
