Patreon and Literotica - Publishing Delays.

All I can say is my experience in the last one to two months has been totally different to yours. Ten stories - every single one approved quickly and published within 48 hours. All of them.

To be clear, those are my first ten stories as well.

My experience has also been similar to yours.

My latest entry went from pending to published in less than twenty minutes. I hit publish, got on a plane, and by the time we were in the air, it had a publication date.

That’s probably my record.

It’s total speculation, like most things posted about the process here, I can only assume I got on Laurel’s good girl list very quickly. Maybe as I messaged her about a couple of stories early on. Or maybe as my first story could only have been written by AI that had gone rogue and merged with Merriam Webster.

Note to self: must work on more original titles
If you want to figure out if a title has already been used, the algorithm for producing those final URL parts of stories seems to be:
  1. Lowercase everything.
  2. Remove everything that’s not a-z or 0-9 or a space.
  3. Replace spaces with dashes.
and then, if it’s a duplicate, add another dash and a number.

Follow this recipe and you can make a URL for any title, to check if it exists. It’s not 100% because removed stories retain their URLs, and you always get the same “error 404” whether or not the story ever existed.

IMO just wait. I just had a story sitting in Pending for almost 2 weeks. Still did fine.
I have one right now that's been in Pending for over a month. I know there's a heavy workload, so it's not a problem, but I am curious about it.
