Anyone ever have this happen to them?

You log into your free email (yahoo or whatever) try your password, it doesn't work, try what you think you might have changed it to, that doesn't work, try one last possiblity- it still doesn't work, finally decide to give up and go to "forgot your password?" fill out the whole form, answer your secret question, get a new password and then go- "OH Yeah! NOW I remember! It was-"

Anyone? That's what I just did! LOL. Just wanted to share.

I do not have the problem. Early on I decided that I would select a few passwords and use those and only those. Since I am a computer guy, I selected secure passwords with both letters and numeric digits. Since I only have a few different passwords, I am always able to remember them, even if I need a few tries. Lastly, I change from one password to another from time to time, so that if someone does happen to discover one of my passwords, he/she does not have forever access to my stuff.

I recently started some new accounts after some kind of bug got into my computer and scrambled my passwords. Didn't want to use the old passwords.:)

I'm kind of a cross between sima and rr. I have three good ones I rotate on my important stuff and one fairly simple one I use for all the things I don't really care if anyone gets into.

It's the damn user id's that throw me. I try to keep up with all of them in a word file, but sometimes I forget to make a change or add the new ones. Oh well, life's a bitch, then you learn that pizza is bad for you.

I use one password for everything. Probably not safe. Oh well.

Ditto, well, almost. And I doubt mine's all that secure. Luckily, no one wants in my stuff.
