You also mixed formal and informal... it's not as important to the younger generation and in some countries.

But to the older generation and in some countries, it's consider offensive to address someone in the informal who is not... (insert your latin bias here).

For instance, my girl knows better than to address me in anyway but the formal.

I'm an older male, thus it's required. Just like as a young pup, I got slapped for using the informal on aunts.

True, but I know SnP, so formal wasn't necessary. And I learned in some of the down and dirty areas of Cali, so I'm sure my syntax leaves something to be desired. ;)
