Is it too early to start drinking?
Who else needs a vacation from their child or children? Where would you go? I'm thinking somewhere sunny with cheap drinks.

My first kidless vacation was a weekend in Paris. I drank myself into a state of benign Frenchness. But evey time I saw a baby there, I would call my kid's grandmother and ask if he was okay.

I am SO there!!!!

The longest break I've had in about the last two years is for maybe a couple of hours on the odd Sunday. Other than that, the little spiderman is with me 24/7. I can't take a shower without him pulling the curtain open, and asking when I'll be out.

*sigh*

I really, really need a break.

I've spent two nights without the kiddo in the last four years and they were not consecutive. I can just about count on two hands the amount of times he's been left with a sitter. Too bad we all can't take a moms and dads holiday cruise or something!
Like Joe, I would be calling all the time to make sure the little maniac was okay.

Can I go too and yes, I would have to have a cellphone and blackberry to get constant updates!

Oh and can I leave the Mrs. at home!!

YES YES YES YES

I don't care where -- just AWAY.

Next week is spring break here. I'm going nuts just thinking about it!

This week is our Spring break and I am so thankful that it's almost over. I need to get away something terrible.

Where shall we all go?

Scarlett. Just hit that powerball and we are so in Tuscany. WITH A NANNY. :D

Nanny? I'm there.. ;) My big kids would be fine, but I wouldn't like leaving the little one for as long as I'd like to be gone. :p A nanny, now... that's an idea. I used to take the kids on trips and bring the nanny when they were little. She was a lifesaver. :cathappy:

VA

Oh, there's a resort in Jamaica where part of the package price includes a nanny........ :D

You mean you don't want to move to Prague with me? lol.

We can go wherever, as long as there's drinking and carousing. Everyone's invited.

I love my kids. They're brilliant and I love spending time with them. I can't wait for the Easter Holidays, which start on Thursday.

Stick that up your bums.

Lou :p

P.S. I got their school reports today, they do me so proud.

Yes, I have two girls.

And, I got on brilliantly with my Mum during my teen years. Seriously, I did. I've always had a great relationship with her.

I'm great mates with her and I'm great mates with my girls. BUT, that doesn't mean I'm soft. They are polite and so loving and caring, and they know how to laugh. Boy, do they know how to laugh. :D

My daughter's been sick for three weeks and we don't know why: listless, intermitent fevers, no appetite, sleeping 14 hours a day. It's not mono: blood tests are normal. She just drags around the house, maybe eats one bowl of cereal a day.

You'd be amazed at how you long for all the screaming and obnoxiousness, the terrible music and blasting television.

I hope she's back to her screaming, obnoxious self soon. Seriously, I hope they find out what's wrong and get her better.
