Parboiled Amish

A lot of them have trees around their house. Couple that with open doors and windows creating a cross draft, and it's not so bad. The worst are the ones out in the fields on tractors. That is hot work.

Those fuckers have to be miserable- 23 straight days of 90 degrees or above.

I respect their right to their own beliefs and lifestyle choices.

However, if I were Amish Bert misery would be the case 24/7/365 no matter the weather or other.

Most of them around here have A/C and Honda generators...Cell phones too.;)

The ignorance and stupidity of posters on this board is overwhelming.

The Amish have none of that crap. They do not have electricity and they plow their fields with horse drawn plows and they have for a couple of hundred years.

No wonder I so seldom read anything in this shit hole and have not posted her in a long while.

If as they say ignorance id bliss then the vast majority of poster are the most blissful people in the world.

Bullshit. There is scarcely an Amish farm anymore that does not use tractors. Even the most conservative use diesel machinery.

Those are Mennonites then. :)

No, they're Amish. They're not as backward as some may think. One Amish owned and run business near us has gas lighting, but a state of the art cash register and credit card machine.

He's not true Amish then. I'll have to send the Amish Militia over to take care of him.

There are lots of Amish restaurants in Florida, and although they have plenty of handmade crafts and homemade goods, they are otherwise completely modern.

Some of the waitresses are pretty damn cute, too.

Not here. It's all bringing in the sheaf.

They make the best bread too.

However, I make better jam and pickles.

We trade.
