Mmmmm. I must confess. I like pretty panties on pretty women. <grin>
I also agree with EBW: Nothing at all wrong with plain cotton.
Also nothing wrong with lacy silk ones either.
Keep your thongs though, ladies. First, I can't imagine that those things could be comfortable. And second, IMHO, a cute feminine derrierre looks much sexier in a pair of hi-cut bikinis than it does in a thong. Like I said, just my opinion, but to me, its the one that matters most. <grin>

I typically wear the cotton type that is between a brief and a bikini. (When I used to work in the OR, I had decided that if I ever got splatterred with the blood of some young druggie that I would rip the clothes off there and wash my skin off in the sink outside the room--so I had to wear decent undies in case that point ever came!)
My fave pair is made by Joe Boxer--they are cotton and the most soft and comfortable pair I have ever had--hard to find though--Of course, the only times I have ever come across any since that first pair, I have been without a dollar in my pocket. I have had that one pair for maybe 3 years and they have stood up to many many washings and such. (Get a pair--you'll love them!!!)
As for the thong-aka-Butt Floss--I only wear those under skirts to church or where I am trying to avoid the panty lines (no one wears hose here--toooooop hot!)
I have a question--for those of you who do wear pantyhose, do you wear panties under them?

I don't wear pantyhose, so the question doesn't apply to me, but I have to admit, it's a question that has popped up in my mind as well.

As far as your Joe Boxer comment, I agree with you. I've got a couple pair of JB's myself, (not hi-cut bikinis, mind you), and find them very nice. Comfy, too!
