For some time now, my computer has been plagued with this. It is trying to take control of my computer, and has partly succeeded. I have tried different programs to clear it up, with no success. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Haven't heard of it, Box. Does it show up on your Taskmanager as a process?

What is a Taskmanager and what is a process. I have a control panel with a list of programs. PanoStandAlone is not one of those.

Google panostandalone, Box.

There are several removal tools in the first 10 hits.

It's not a program to remove, but files to restore.

Good luck. :D

Also start your computer in safe mode (press f8 before windows starts) with networking active.

Programmes not microsoft will not be begun in safe mode.

It's a fairly steep learning curve for removing this kind of thing but well worth the effort.

Have you tried rolling back yet?

I've run into that before, I think. It has to do with files used by printing and image handling software from HP. If you have any programs from HP (there's usually a bunch included if you buy a printer or camera), try to run a full re-install of those from the cd.

I do have an HP printer and I suspected there was a connecti0n. I think there was also a connection with Adobe. I removed all the HP programs and Adobe programs from the computer, and the PanoStandAlone disappeared also. I don't know just which one caused it, but it seems to be gone. Forever, I hope.

I still have a problem with colorful stripes dancing around on my screen. I can regulate these to some degree, and my desktop is a solid color, which helps. It's still a nuisance, but better than it was.

If and when the time comes when I want to print something, I will just have to re-install the HP disk and see what happens.
