Paintball sounds exciting

you see a paintball park. Talk about sterile and unnatural.

What you need are fields, streams and trees or an abandoned city-scape...

U back at the timeshare in Branson?

Is ur putt putt championship trophy still atop the credenza?

This is your first year there without your "daughter" right?

A long time ago, paintball was played in the woods, and was called the National Survival Game. We used standard Nelspot tree marking handguns with oil based paint, as the water based paintballs had not been developed yet. The guns held 5 shots, were bolt action and used a single 12 gram CO2 cartridge. The game looked nothing like what they play now.

We used to use standard Daisy type BB guns. And no, no one shot their eye out. Or anyone else's.

It was a car recently in riding around shooting paintballs at random people. I got hit in the shoulder and neck while my homie got hit in the face. That shit stopped once somebody shot real bullets at them.

And silly sissy thought you guys were talking about pinball.
Even sissy's have been to paintball parks but it is much more fun to pain a room with a paintball gun.

It gets interesting when you freeze the paintballs before the game starts😂Kant

Paintball park?

I used to to paintball. We always played out in the sticks.

Except that one time in a medieval castle.

The way they play it now is like Stratego and everyone is a general.
It's about as subtle as Gallagher, a mallet and a watermelon...

Benjamin has an air rifle out that launches a 125 gr. 'pellet' at damn near 1000 fps. Just need to fill the hollow point with paint. :D

Speaking of games, LeBron James is teaming with TIMMAH! Tebow to do Running Man, the game...

Don't they have day jobs?

For many years, I'd been curious about paintball.

A couple of years ago, I had a chance to try it— and did.

The biggest surprise was how heavy the gun was. I think it was easily 5 pounds and lugging it about eventually got tiring and old.

Secondly, I'm glad we were forewarned about being fully covered by OLD clothes and not having any exposed skin. I don't know what the muzzle velocity of the guns is but getting hit with a paintball would sting like bloody hell.

I enjoyed satisfying my curiosity. I suspect that it would be even more fun with a group of pals and repeated outings.

As a kid, I heard stories from pals about BB gun fights. Generally speaking, my pals and I questioned the sanity of those who reportedly participated in that not-real-bright behavio(u)r.

The admonishments and warnings of our parents were, in the main, observed and complied with. Gun safety was drilled into our brains and the cardinal rule of "never point a gun at somebody" was strictly observed and complied with.

A "pal" once shot me in the arse whilst I was walking away (wearing blue jeans, thank god). It hurt like a motherfucker and I must have jumped 15 feet. It felt like a bee sting. I'm not sure whether my reaction was more the result of the sting or the surprise.

Never said I was sane. I am, after all, here...

We had rules. No shots above the shoulders, no shots closer than 10 yards, no pump rifles, etc. We all wore heavy clothes and eye protection too.

Some of the places we played you can't take any guns any more. But it was 40+ years ago too and times have changed.

BTW, most rifles (the real kind not paintball) weigh 7+ lbs plus ammo. Which ain't light either.

Ah, ha— common sense and (some) good judgement were employed.

Years ago when I used to play on the regular we went to a course that had an outdoor course in the woods and the indoor course was set up like a city.
It was a pretty nice set up and we played there for years but I eventually got too old to take a beating like that every other week.

Coolest paintball setup I had been was in abandoned diesel power station (actually bearing historical monument status) within Riga Seaport territory.

The central room was maybe 120 x 40 yards, housing two HUGE engines across of it. Under them were small rooms, the walls had potholes in them. The ground around had several shallow concrete trenches, one end was lower, empty pool or some such, some kind of ramp almost the whole length on one side, very nice balance of cover and long sight lines. And piles of euro-palettes we used for semi-mobile barricades. There were also few partially connected side-rooms. The overall atmosphere was quite surreal.

But he coolest thing was, the big room had metal inner balcony all around it, maybe 10-12 feet from the ground, so it was real fun for observers too.

Speedball versus woodsball. A former boyfriend and his friends got into paintball heavily and encouraged us to play as well.

That's how I used to play: in fields and forests with a stream or two. Was fun until, like many other things, people were buying the best gear which meant even though the guns weren't auto, they had happy trigger fingers and painted everything in sight in a second or two.

No skill involved. Just spray and pray.
