"Paige" -- inspired by the FX tv series, "The Americans"

"Paige" follows the continuing life of second generation "Illegal", Paige Jennings, after her KGB parents have been discovered working deep cover in the US and have fled back to Russia.

One major alteration from the original tv series is that the RP takes place not in the mid-80s but today, in 2024. The central location may also be moved, from Washington DC to New York City. Don't know yet.

Although there will be sex in the story, it is a minor consideration. If you are seeking an ongoing fuckfest, this is not it.

I'm looking for a male AND/OR female writer. Characters I'm seeking can include an FBI or CIA agent; a normal every day citizen who gets caught up in the action; a former KGB operative; a Russian diplomat; and/or others. Romance could be heterosexual, homosexual, and/or both.

The story will generally follow an ongoing internal dispute between factions within Russian intelligence: one side supports Putin's war in Ukraine, while the other seeks his overthrow.

But there will be other storylines as well, including assassinations, international and/or industrial espionage, theft (a girl's gotta pay her bills), and more.

Hey, I am just returning to roleplay. You and I wrote together once before. I was a big fan of "The Americans" when it was on television. I would love to write this with you if that's okay with you.

I have some character ideas, but they depend more on what storylines you have in mind. Care to give us some ideas?

Of course, I remember! Welcome back!

So, ideas that I have include but are not limited to:

• Paige has a new ID, but she needs additional papers. She goes to the "papers" guy used by Directorate S, which results in the Center sending people to look for her. (Remember, from the 1980s-set tv show, she was on the "wrong side" of the drive to remove the USSR's President, Gorbachev. In our roleplay, the USSR is gone and the man who was in threat of being removed is Russian President, Vladimir Putin.)
• Paige needs to know who she can trust in the Rezidentura and, more specifically, Directorate S (aka the Center). She makes contact with a young Russian officer who is a member of the FSB (the successor to the KGB). This might lead to romance...?
• Paige learns that the "bad" faction within the FSB and Directorate S are planning a series of assassinations designed to weaken American efforts to defend Ukraine. She needs help to stop this and goes to an FBI agent in counterintelligence. (Imagine Stan Bee Beeman but younger and a potential love interest.)

That's just a start. I'd like to create some additional female characters, but I don't know who/what yet.
