I got a question for you, if you're around anywhere....

...no, not those questions. I thought we already agreed that those answers were "yes, naked and with strawberry ice cream."

And chocolate sprinkles.

Don't forget the sprinkles, Bel.

Um - your question?

LOL!

Wow - top jazz piano?

Manhattan

UNLV

Eastman

Louisville, maybe?

I mean, the major music schools are easy -

Eastman, Stanford, Cincinnati, Michigan, Indiana, Florida State, Chicago, Kentucky, LSU, Kansas - maybe Arizona, maybe South Carolina, maybe Sacramento -

It all depends on the degree program. Which particular instrument or voice, performance or education, theory or history, musicology or composition, conducting or -

And so on.

But you can't go wrong with any of these, I would imagine.

Does this help?

Sarahh, would Juilliard be a logical fit, or does it only focus on classical music?

Rumple "no rhythm" Foreskin

Oh!

Indeed it would. I inadvertently left it off the list.

You mean I was RIGHT? What a unique concept.

Good luck to your Jayhawks in their first out-of-state game this weekend.

Ouch. :D

It's about time the schedule worked in our favor, however.

;)

You might have a missed a few others. North Texas State and Berklee (sp?)

University of the Arts: School of Music has produced such greats as Wynton Marsalis and Grover Washington jr.

If you're looking for some earlier education for your character, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas got Norah Jones her start before majoring in Jazz Piano at University of Northern Texas.

I just rattled a few schools off the top of my head. And opinions will vary.
That's the problem with making a list, of course.

I also left off North Carolina.

But still it depends on what specific degree students pursue.

Graduate programs are better at some of the listed schools than others, performance degrees are prized at a few while education or composition degrees should be studied elsewhere.

It's a cluster.

The Eagles & Nora Jones came from North Texas State

(being an alumni, I had to give it a plug)
