Pages and pages of posts....

Ok, so I've been sitting here lately wondering about the General board and how everyone uses it.

I typically only pay attention to page one. Sometimes, if there isn't anything there to pique my interest I'll go back a page or two but I see there are 60 some pages available.

How far back do you typically scroll? Or...are you a "front page" person as well?

I'm just curious.

I'm a front page person unless I'm looking for a particular thread that interested me but I haven't had a chance to post to. There are just so many threads that go up in the run of a day that the front page gets to be enough to handle!

Exactally. I mean, when I first registered...I would ask for email notifications on my threads that I joined and even *that got to be a little much. So, page one is usually plenty for me. lol

I usually go to the first page or two...

I have anything I fear my slip to the back on my list of subscribed threads so I can find updates easily.

Back to the last time I was here, if I have time. That could be page 4 or 5 lately. I often find a thread from someone that is good but it died mid-morning on a weekday. I will pull it up later at night to give it new life. Sometimes they take off then with a different group of people posting, sometimes not.

If I find it funny or interesting, I read all of the pages ( I think so far the most has been 7 pages), but if it's something light and silly, I'll only read the first page.

There are times that I'll have to go do something in real, so I'll *save my place* and come back to it later.

I guess another reason I try to read all of the posts is that I don't want to keep repeating other people. Although that does happen.

hehe... I think he meant how many pages back in the list of threads do you go, not how many pages within a given thread. But your point is also a good one. I wonder how many people see a thread with 6 or 7 pages of posts and actually read all of them?

Correct, Cheyenne....

Out of a possible 65+ pages of General board threads...how many do you bother with?

Now..if a particular *thread is interesting, I'll read the 6 or 7 (or 30) pages of it just for kicks.

That being said....I'm off to take a shower. PB's made me feel all used and dirty. lol.....BBL.

So to answer the actual question, I'll sometimes go back four pages .... the most has been six.

Three or four pages,....

...at least till I get back to "familiar ground". I want to see what the Europeans and ANZAC members are doing as well as catch up on the different "shifts" here in NA.

I usually don't have time to get past page 1, unless they are all really boring topics, then i go to page 2, 3 or sometimes more.

I usually try to read most of the posts before posting, and if I don't, I say so from the beginning. Sometimes I will get halfway through and just HAVE to comment on what someone said.
