You should refrain from using the word, "Goodbye" in your dealings with other pagans. Why? The word "Goodbye" has it's root origins in the good ol' days with the puritans. It used to be, "God be with ye" until a couple of centuries of slangin' it around!
So, Druids especially, better come up with a new parting word to use! (example: "May the Forest be with you!") :D
 
I find merry part works well, but goodbye does the trick too, root words are just that root, I mean Christmas got its ROOT in paganism. Christians still celebrate it.
