What a wonderful effort! And with the apple tree saplings, are you planning on starting an orchard?

The apple tree saplings are eventually going to feed the deer.

Blossom, Leaf and Fruit

"With what talisman was Bran summoned by The White Goddess to enter the Land of Youth? With 'a silver white-blossomed apple branch from Emain in which the bloom and the branch were one."

~ Robert Graves, The White Goddess ~

It has been said that a branch of an apple tree which contains blossom, leaf and fruit (what would seem to be a seasonal impossibility) is a very magical item. It can grant safe passage to and return from the Underworld, and in some myths, denotes immortality unto the bearer. In The Silver Bough, F. Marian McNeil writes: "the apple was the talisman that admitted a favored mortal to the Otherworld and gave him power to foretell the future."

Thats neat.

When The Spring Equinox is here its time to give to the Earth.

I'm an animist. That's pretty close to pagan right? ;)

The term animism is derived from the Latin word anima meaning breath or soul.

The belief in animism is probably one of man's oldest beliefs, with its origin most likely dating to the Paleolithic age. From its earliest beginnings it was a belief that a soul or spirit existed in every object, even if it was inanimate. Pagan peoples saw spirit in everything, from rocks to trees and plants. The spirit, therefore, was thought to be universal.

And I would take this definition further still to include the elements air, earth, fire and water...

An animistic viewpoint of life is certainly a universal pagan belief...

Back in a new location

Hello Image, I'm glad to see this forum is still going strong. I've gotten subscriptions every week a post was made and it was this board in particular that brought me back to Lit.

I know it has been a rather long time since I was here and posted anything. In the way of being Pagan, nothing much has changed since last time I wrote, I just like to think I'm a little more experienced now that I've had some events happen in my life.

I was a member of Pagans And Wiccans of Wisconsin Society(PAWWS for short) for a little while but that organization has all but folded in on itself. The walls of my living quarters are now so close together I cannot properly setup an alter for myself. I almost have to settle for a digital one on my computer. Does anybody know if that'd work as well or not? I don't know, I've been thinking about it. I can burn incense and light candles in various locations around my monitor. It just wouldn't be the same, overall.

As always, I'm open to suggestions.

well met Lady B.

she wraps herself around me .

I walk with her .

Talking though she does not do much.

may she speak more to you.

My Druid.

and sometimes she speaks in riddles.

The Druid is slow.

by time I get the first riddle there are 5 more.

but this keeps the mind turning.

and she does speak in whispers.

like the first hinting of the Menta I saw.

so small so fragile looking, but looks hide the powers inside.

It will be

of more of which you seek
