The harvest was good today. Many herbs here at home. I think I'll add some of this blackberry leaf to my green tea.

And yes... plenty of honey.

blackberry.. good for general pains in the joints.

well as cinamon is a mild antibiotic.

I use both quite frequently.

yea... at forty-two I'm already gettin' th' creakies a bit

mostly because I'm so ON all the time

Lit is a good place that makes me just sit and relax

and sometimes wet my pants

ahh wet can be good... yeah I bet you are creakie... a belly dancer?

humm has me pondering.....

glucosamine and flax seed oil helps the creakies too ~ I'm fine though

iron seems to be a problem when it comes to absorption though and I may have to drop the coffee

but not the chocolate... never the chocolate

my feet are actually pounded out from the dancing and carrying babies all the time ~ don't ever expect to give those up either ~ I just dance more gently and sit down with th' tots

so just how limber are you ? :cattail:

the Druid can still stand and touch the floor with his palms and not bend my knees... I also can stand on my head....

I do and have done a lot of physical work with my job... for the last 12 years...

not to bad for a old Druid.... if you like ask my druidess she knows how well I am.... :D

and I spritz my pillow with Lavender to help sleep and make calmness...

whoa... not many men can say that ~ good for you !

in Ayurveda they have this self-body massage called Abiyanga (sp?) ~ one rubs themselves all over in a certain pattern with sesame oil for good health

I've sort of made up my own version of that with shea butter ~ I'd love to show you sometime ;)

humm I would like to be shown that.... I would even bring the sesame oil...

so why do you carry Tot's? hummmm

call me curious...

I also use yarrow oils in my massage oil... wakes you up real fast.

I direct an infant~toddler~lower grade-school care center because I can't have the twelve babies I wish I could.

Getting pregnant and having babies is so wonderful, but just two for me. The second one was even iffy considering the state of the world and all. She really wanted in though since we had a deal.

Ha ~ my punctuation came back there for a sec :p

tatuwen aaa tatuwen aaa tatuwen aaa tatuwen aaa tatuwen aaa aaa aaa tatuwen aaa aaa aaa...

So my daughter and I went to a South American fire ceremony at a local community herb garden. We made the traditional offerings of tobacco, copal, cocoa nuts, and special sticks.

The chant above is the name of their Fire God and it was similar to the other Native American type gatherings I've been to where the fire circle space is where negativity is purified and hopes are cast. Passing the talking stick was interesting since you want to generate conversation from the topics being brought up but you can only listen and then discuss things later after the ritual.

My talking stick time was the explanation of trying to expose my daughter to as many pure religious cultures as I could and that I also help her understand why some of these practices changed or were melded into the Christian faith for the sake of conformity. No one had mentioned the elements yet, so I went on to tell how the Earth and rocks supported the flame, and about the wood accepting being burned and turning to ash. Then I went on about the need for air or how the lack of air has power to put fire out; as well as water, which can put fire out, but can also be heated for cooking and that it makes steam.

When the rhythm instruments were passed out, no one really knew what to do with them so I ended up being the teaching leader on dumbek... again. Somehow this has become an unexpected roll for me but I go with it; though I must admit that its nice to just play and jam without having to educate on something that seems so natural and easy. The hostess is new to this tradition, but had good teachers, and everyone else was first or second timers at this location.

They want me to come back on the next new moon which is nice. :)

Solstice at Stonehenge

I finally had the chance to attend the Solstice gathering at Stonehenge...the one time of the year (I believe) that the actual moment is open to the public. While the experience was disappointing in many ways (aka most of the crowd there being amazingly drunk/stoned kids) there were still some amazing pieces to it, and great snatches of spirituality and ritual when you could find them...

Gypsy... You always make me long to have a daughter to educate in these ways. Growing up with you as her mother, let's see...

You teach her the ways of womanhood with no shame, respect for the Earth as our Mother; and living as one, very significant and connected part of the whole...

Give her a hug for me please :rose:
