saw it last thursday. i agree, it's a bit of an abuse on the senses with all of the giant robots, monster growls, explosions and other assorted plethora of racket... also, i watched it in 3D and i think i got a headache from all of the nonstop action. don't get me wrong, best popcorn eating film i've seen in a while, VERY entertaining; but perhaps i'm just getting too old for that shit?

Actually it was needlessly loud, actually annoying, and I heard many say so afterward. I understand the motivation is they want the audience to feel those sub woofers, but this was a tad too much in my opinion.

Allowing for inflation of 800% since 1965, a ticket oughta run $8, a box of popcorn oughta be $2, ditto a cold drink. Twenty-two bux total.

Liteweight fare, but admittedly, the scene where the giant droid is walking down the street dragging a oceangoing freighter by one end for a club like warriors come out to play-ee-ay while the theme kicks in for the first time is pretty awesome.
