"I used to think they should legalize pot, but ... they should ban the lot. One thing leads to another - coffee leads to Red Bull, Red Bull leads to crack ... The thing that's amazing was how rapidly (Jack) went from smoking pot to doing hillbilly heroin."

But how are kinks in fiction going for you? Lingerie to anal, anal to bodmods, bodmods to the most debauched things out there?

Not everyone has that personality type that gets bored with something they like and continually seeks more extreme experiences for a rush.

I smoke a lot of weed (it's now legal where I live). Enjoyed harder drugs when I was in college, but since then just weed. Not even alcohol.

And my kinks never got extreme. The area where I go deepest, kinkwise, is the interracial theme. But over the last year I've backed way far off of that as I've watched "the scene" evolve from "we get turned on by the idea of hooking up with hot people of other racial backgrounds" to "swastikas, Nazi rhetoric, and genocide of ethnic groups." (I see this in places other than Lit, which is why I abandoned those places, came here, and started writing)

I get what Ozzy's saying, but feel like he should have said "CAN lead" instead of "leads." It's not inevitable, and (I believe) most of us don't go from coffee and a hit of the ganj on a sunny Saturday morning to snorting oxycodone in a wooden shack in the mountains.

I think Ozzy's point was that if you do have that type of brain, even coffee, Red Bull and chocolate are going to be problematic.
