I am better able to describe social conservatives, because I agree with them on most issues. Social conservatives are pessimistic about human nature and human potential, and believe that there is often wisdom in tradition.

Economic conservatives are rich, or they hope and expect to become rich. They do not want equality, but personal superiority. For them freedom is the absence of government efforts to restrain their economic desires.

That is the way I see things. I invite conservatives to disagree.
