There is a massive creative influence on welder art. First, most do not have huge bankrolls and must work with the materials that surround them. Gears, chains, pipe drop, and junk. The 55 gallon barrel is the core of the steel drum because it works and there are barrels everywhere. Used horseshoes were made for sheep fucking horseshoe cowboys.

I wield a 50A plasma now- waaaay cheaper/easier/cleaner than gas for cutting and a lil MAP gas bottle for heating to bend/unbind.
But i do miss Having oxy/ace around sometimes

My husband used mostly an electric welder and a wire welder. That's all I know about it. He only used them to build our old hotrods and change parts.
I remember a few places we often passed in Alabama with large yard art things made of old car parts and farming things.
I had a lot of small jewelry made by a friend in souther Illinois. He made what he called little people and even large fountains. He used bronse or brass welding rod and called it the flow system. We'd watch him and you could see the wire melt into little shapes.
I had some little women angels with boobs and wings. Even had men that had a penis and lots of other ear rings and things. I wore most all the time. Then someone broke in our house and took everything including my sexy biker clothes.
The man went by Rainmaker in souther Illinois. We lost contact when we moved again.
Most of our good pictures are still in a little hard drive hubby hasn''t added. These pictures are not very good with my necklaces. Please don't look at my boobs. This is for art only

I'm a Bike fan and hotrod fan. An funnily enough i was just saying to a friend the other day how i'd like have some of the minature tools a jeweller uses, they'd be fun
To mess around with old watch parts etc.
I will admit to nearly going blind looking at those pics of the jewellry, from straining the eyes/zoom, cant make out the details but definatly got the Idea
