Ownership Marks

At present I am too chicken to have a branding, but we have talked about it.

I would happily settle for a tattoo however he has different ideas

How would you react if your PYL said they thought a branded mark would be the thing to have????

Do you say 'no' and feel bad about it or say 'yes' and feel sick? LOL
i'd react by answering Him with an enthusiastic as posssible, and undelayed reply of, "Yes, Master. i'd be proud to receive it.".

When my Master 'requests' anything of me, i'd rather say 'yes' and feel a little sickened. i HATE having to tell him 'no'. i think there has only been one time ever when i have felt no other choice ... and *reluctantly* HAD to tell Him 'no'. i feel a whole lot sicker saying 'no'.

The ownership tattoo was painful, but mostly because of it's placement being where there is thin skin and alot of bone. When the tattoo guy hit the knobby spinal bones on the back of my neck it felt like someone was rapidly pounding them with molten hot nails. Other than that, i enjoyed it for a few reasons, the main being an overwhelming sensation of pride as a result of being given His mark. i'd love to do it again.

If i were to recieve an additional ownership mark, i'd prefer a tattoo and would rather submit to receiving a branding over a cutting .. i think. As far as pain levels are concerned, regarding a cutting or a branding, either could make me a bit worried. i figure unlike a cutting, a branding, is over and done with quickly enough, all in one shot .... but i bet it hurts like a bitch for a long time afterward, as any burn will.

Be honest, and discuss it more (to death if need be :D )....possibly with a long term plan of progression. We decided on it a long time ago, but it is still something which will happen when he feels it is the right time, has done the research to his satisfacction, and prepared well for all outcomes. I don't think it is something you just fake feeling right about as the mental aspects of the recipient are as important as the physical, as is the information for the Dominant. I knkow you will both get there when it is right for you.

You say yes, and feel proud that he decided to mark you as his.

Thanks IYM.

Of course I would feel proud, but proud without that level of pain would be ok with me as well.

We discuss it, but we both know its far away in the future.

On the one hand it would be wonderful, on the other there is PAIN

We have a long way to go before we get that far, for all kinds of reasons but at least I know where his thoughts are headed. Thats a good thing. I hate surprises and would wonder what kind of person he was if he said all this after I had moved to Denmark to be with him.

I hate saying 'no' to him. So I understand your thoughts on that.

Although I have heard his son say 'No' to him and that was without consequences so I may try it one day!

It won't ever be over being branded though.

I will start with the small stuff and check for the 'no consequence deal' before deciding whether 'no' fits into my submissive nature.

A 'no' from one of the kids, vs a 'no' coming from me ..... it's apples and oranges.
When i used the phrase 'is over and done with', i meant the physical pain would be completed, the act would be finished quickly. Not talking about the emotional side of it etc ect ... can't comment on how that works ... i've not been branded.

Sinn remember that thread 'things not to say....'

I was a devotee.

I just cant help making comments and seeing what happens.

It makes me laugh even when there are consequences attached.

I know its wrong but its still amuses me.

I am lucky that he realises when I am teasing and does not view it as a serious infraction.

I have had conversations with Doms who would view it very differently. I would end up permanently punished.

Even with consequences I cant shut up, working out ways to talk myself out of it, or figuring out how he MADE me say such things.

As for branding, when the time comes i will go through with it, but he better gag me first!
I agree the actual branding should be short-lived, but I bet the healing is a bitch!

Well when you do it make sure to have cold water or something to put DIRECTLY on it. I keep aloe vera gel in the fridge so that when somoene burns themselves not only can I put aloe vera gel on their burn, but it's nice and cold and FEELS good. Also make sure to keep it clean. Their's stuff that I got when I spilled scalding water on my breasts, it has silver something or the other in it. It's great for burns. When D (my 2 year old) got second and third degree burns on his hand the doctor told me to use that stuff on it, cause it'd heal it quicker than anything else I'd find.

DO NOT put anything oil based on it, like margarine, butter, etc. That will make the burn worse. I personally wouldn't even put vaseline or anything like that on it.

I have about half a dozen self brands up and down my arms from cooking, do those count?

I think it's an ancient form of punishment.
............
Especially when mandated that it be done while naked.
Fried foods ... hot cooking oil spitting out of the pan and landing upon exposed breasts and tummy .......... ouch.

Here's something for the folks that don't want the pain of a tattoo................

I cook for work, so I end up bumping against all sorts of hot things - the latest scars for life are right under my shoulder, lol... waaaay up high. You don't expect that sort of thing to get you there usually ;)

But I think I understand some of the pain involved with branding. Keeping that in mind, if someone ever did like me enough to want me branded as his, I'd probably agree without too much hesitation due to pain.

Silver is good at keeping out infection (I have been going to wound care for my leg far too long). Don't be shocked if it turns black as the silver oxidizes.
Keeping infection from setting in is the most important part.

There is a lot of romantic connotations to being branded and a lot of subs will eagerly say yes with their heart before their mind says no because of it.

It is extremely painful to be branded...and not in the good sense. There will be no ramping involved, You will sear the flesh deep enough to create scar tissue.

The last one (out of two) I have been involved with took five guys (one on each limb and two on the leg she was getting the brand on) to hold her as she was strapped to be branded. She was about 5'4" around 140 and she still broke a strap as if it was only thread.

You cannot move or you will ruin the brand. It only lasts for no more than two seconds but that is a lot of time when a white hot design is place on you that will sink into muscle in the blink of an eye.

So who is first?

Well that's putting it bluntly. I read somewhere, once, that burning is actually the worst of all pains. Hence why I have no intention of ever being branded. I'll go for a tattoo or a cut, first.

Should I have sugar coated it? :D

Non-sugar coated is just fine.

I will be branded when the time is right, which may be years away, but knowing the reality and risks of it is essential.

I don't want to see someone else branded before I go ahead with mine.

A bit like child birth, if I see the hell someone else endures I will be too scared.

I need to judge it on my own, not on the levels of pain someone else can take.

I am 4'9" and about 112 llbs. Five men may just about be enough to hold me down, as long as they stay well away from my teeth.
During labour I bit my husbands hand so hard I caused permanent nerve damage.
As I recall he was pretty cross with me!

*indicates scars on her arms from the self-brands* burning *is* quite painful, but frankly I find cutting a lot scarier. Tattoo's imho aren't that bad, but being cut just SCARES me.

It's probably a matter of the unknown. I've cut myself and burned myself, burning scares me the most.
