No -- that is, of course there's only one payer funding the VA, but, the term "single payer system" as generally used means a public health insurance system, like Canada's, or our own Medicare, and does not mean a public health provision system like the UK's, or the VA's.

What I don't understand is how a multimillion dollar system that was supposed to make this all so easy ends up being the most fucked up system I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. On top of that when something DOES go wrong the customer service ends up being the biggest nightmare of bureaucratic horse shit I've ever had the displeasure of having to wade through.

A 12yo with My SQL and some basic HTML could come up with a smoother, safer and less error prone site than the piece of shit they have now and the tax payers wouldn't have been socked for how many hundred million?

Cheer lead all you want. And while I will agree that there are some aspects that are sensible, they could have been dealt with without the monstrous cluster fuck we have now.
