This one doesn't know where it's going. It slowed down which isn't a good thing. 1 track takes it north of me, the other track south of me. After Irma we really have our act together so far so good. I made the last fast run to the Super Center this morning.Bottled water is out. people are nuts. Road rage everywhere. I have recycle bottles here to fill with water to drink. I grabbed soda, milk, sandwich stuff and emergency chocolate & cat treats. backed up the ice makers already and just have to fill the huge tubs for flush water maybe Sunday.

So far they haven't cancelled our huge street fair tomorrow & not called in for EOC duty but sand bags are getting filled 2 days now.

Thanks. I texted an old friend from Lit who lives in the keys. We have become hurricane buddies. Checking on each other to make sure we are on top of things. He had no clue it was out there but he does now. It's switched paths enough that he's been in & out of the cone. One track is north or me & the other is south of me. Called both Vision Works & my insurance company to report a general manager of a store location who was covering for my eye dr's asst at lunch. I went in to order my contacts for the year & she tells me I need to get an eye exam for glasses. I don't need one, I don't wear glasses I wear extended wear contacts so I won't use one... but because it will "cost me nothing" I need one. I decided she was joking but apparently she set me up when I get an email & phone call from the system saying I hand an appointment with some doctor I don't even know for Monday. So I called the dr's asst & said I'll be in at this time but I am NOT getting an exam. She's like No you don't need an eye exam. And when I asked if turning her ass in would hurt my doctor she whispered not at all. So I did it.

Well it's footy finals here in Melbourne town. My team has made the final 4 so hoping they can make it to the Grand Final. We are so sports made here in Melbourne that the state govt decided to have a public holiday the day before the Grand Final. Then again we also have a public holiday for a horse race here in Melbourne as well.

This getting older stuff has me now doing a tour of the various medical facilities. A few of those things to get done before the end of the year so everything else is on hold.

Watching the build on the site next door. One of many house sites that have had new building works on them in the local neighbourhood.
