Being born here in the states I have not been to many traditional weddings but you are in for some interesting concepts... my suggestion go with the flow because after all the tradition the ceremonies it still the same Filipinos love to party!!!

I keep looking at the beautiful butterfly on your back. Tell me about it. How long have you had it? How long did it take for the artist to complete it? I am guessing many sessions. Also, it must have been very expensive for a tatoo of that size? I have wanted to ask these questions every since I discovered you. Answer what ever you are comfortable with.

Hi ya! Good to see you again

Well the butterfly was a 45th b'day gift to myself. I have had it for a year and 1/2 now. I wish it had been done over several sessions, but I got it the day before leaving to come home (I got it in Florida while visiting my son). It was completed in a 3 hour session. It was rather expensive but worth it to me. I am planning to get another one. It is going to take longer than I thought (to actually get it) but it is in the works.

She was over to our house, playing with our dog, Norbert, when the back of her blouse rode up and I saw it. I talked to her mom about it and apparently she's had it for awhile, got it while she was in school in Texas.

Wish she'd talk to me about the tat so I could tell her I'd pay for having it removed -- if that's what she wants. Or she can keep it (she's 24) -- if that's what she wants.

If that's the case, I'll spring for having it removed. If she's just afraid I'll get ballistic, I need to relieve her of that worry as well.

I almost got a tattoo in Siagon, but I sobered up before it was my turn. I was considering the Cav patch on my left shoulder. I'm glad I sobered up, I would have regretted that decision -- I would have had it removed.

However, even sober I considered having my service number tattooed on my big toe; permanent identification of a mutilated body thinking. Morbid overreaction, so I left unmarked.

And, yes, of course you can call me Paul. It's my middle name. You can call me anything you wish.

I'll be 59 in March and my wife of 32 years will be 52 in April. My only child, the Latin teacher, will be 25 in October.

My Dachshund, Norbert, (see AV) will be 5 in July.

*smiling* I have a Sammy and a Mikki, Sammy is 5 yrs oldthis yr and Mikki will be 14 this year.....Sammy ( I will eventually find pic for you) was my mother's pup and I got him when she died...Mikki was my sister's dog...she has since moved on and a "will you keep her for two weeks" has turnd into well over a year, actually almost 2 year or 2 and 1/2...time moves so quickly

As for the tats...I agree, if your daughter regrets it...then by all means help her get rid of it...but if she didn't tell you cause she thought you would freak....then reassure her that it is her body and she is an adult and can make her own decisions but you will always be there.....
