My name is Scott James and I live the dream. My whole life I've been a nerd. In high school shit was a little rough, my friends and I where known as the geeks who played magic the gathering, and dungeons and dragons and all that shit. But I was lucky, because I knew from an early age what I wanted out of life. I wanted to own my own comic book store.

Today I have my dream. Those same friends of mine from high school, Chuck, Greg and Lawernce, we all pooled funds together and bought a comic shop in town. It was great and we were having a lot of success with the store as well. We host events on local radio, held comic con style Q&A's at the fair. It was awesome.

We called the store "The Gamer's Gatherer". Totally nerdy but nevertheless awesome.

I am twenty six now, and as good as life is there was one part of my perfect life missing. I needed a woman by my side. The thing about being a nerd is that my idea of the perfect woman doesn't exist. I mean sure there are definately nerdy girls around, but the so called "Hot Nerd" chick is a myth. So I've made the mistake of dating regular girls who were hot but not nerds and things dont work out very well.

My friends all say that I need to lower the standards a bit, to stop chasing after girls that would be more at home cheering for a football game than sitting in a comic book shop.

They're probably right. I should look into woman who lean toward similar interests but I don't know. Why can't I have a good looking chick, and she loves me for me?

Oh right I know the answer to that question already. BECAUSE PIGS CAN'T FLY!

My name is Felicity Raynes, and I'm just a regular girl, no matter what my friends tell you. No boyfriend, and I'm okay with that. Most of the guys I've dated are so full of themselves they barely even seemed to notice I was in the room. My girlfriends are always telling me I can have any guy I want, but the problem is I can't seem to find one that I actually like. Maybe I need to stop looking, or at least find a new place to look.

I'm 24 years old and nearing the end of graduate school. Soon I'll be a teacher, molding young minds. I like kids, talking with them, helping them discover new things, seeing them laugh and play and learn. It was actually a kid that had me out that spring day, specifically my kid brother, Drake. He was turning 14 the next day and I needed to pick up a gift for him.

I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to get him, but when I saw the comic book store next to the coffee shop where Amy and I had stopped, I knew I could find something for Drake there. Dragging Amy in with me, I stepped into the cluttered store and let the door bang closed behind us.

"Seriously, Felicity, can't we just go to the mall and get Drake a shirt or something? I'll bet these guys haven't seen a girl in years," Amy protested as she looked skeptically at the other patrons.

She was right, I guess. It certainly didn't look like the pimply faced teens that were scattered throughout the store spent a lot of time with girls, or at least not ones that they weren't related to. I suddenly felt a bit out of place, wearing my short, blue jean skirt and the spaghetti strapped tank top that hugged my d-cup breasts so tightly.

"Come on, we're already here, let's just pick something out. It'll just take a minute," I assured my friend as I moved deeper into the store.

The day she came into the store was a day that I was working the store by myself for the afternoon. It was this reason that my friend didn't believe me about it when I told them. In fact when I told Chuck about her he called me and I quote, "You're a fucking liar. I'm going to check the camera's."

Anyway it was a normal weekday afternoon at the store. There was a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament going on, a bunch of younger players sat at the tables laid out and faced each other in a card game to the death. Or well to the death on the fictional characters they portrayed.

I knew something was wrong when I felt a strange hush come over the store. As if everyone stopped what they were doing at once. I looked up and turned toward the door and saw the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in the store....Hell she was probably the hottest girl I have seen in real life. Like a model off Maxium come hopped right off the page.

It took me a moment to get a hold of myself, then I nearly leaped around the counter to meet up with her and provide her with excellent customer service. "Hello there, welcome." I said with a big smile and pleasant voice. "What brings you to The Gamer's Gatherer today."

It was then that I realize she had another girl with her, almost as hot, but the second girl clearly had a aura of bitch around her. She narrowed her eyes at me and asked, "Seriously? The Gamer's Gatherer? Have you even seen a vagina before?" Then she took her friends arm and tried to pull her out of the store. "Come on Felicity, let's get the fuck out of her before someone starts humping your leg."

I was kind of taken aback by this and I blinked. "Whoa easy there, I have a bathroom in the back in case you need to swap tapons out. Wouldn't want the blood loss to make you feint here. No telling what those kids over there would do to you." I jerked my thumb back toward the card players.

I tried unsuccessfully to suppress a laugh at what the store clerk said to Amy who gasped in disbelief. I knew her shocked silence wouldn't last long, daggers already beginning to form in her eyes, so I took the opportunity to speak, "I need to find a birthday gift for my younger brother. He is turning fourteen tomorrow and he's really into comics and science fiction stuff, you know?"

I have to admit as I flashed my dimples at the guy behind the counter, there was something about him that I liked already. It wasn't that I thought he was handsome, though he had an awkward cuteness about him. Maybe it was the way he had so quickly put Amy in her place. Most guys wouldn't dream of talking to Amy that way.

"Do you think you can help me find something?" I asked, stepping closer to the counter, absently playing with the necklace that dangled down in front of my chest.

I smiled, the friend was pissed but the front hottie was smiling at me. God she was goregous, little dimples and everything. I needed to find a way to get her picture or something. Girls this hot just embedded images into your mind of them.

I nodded and came around the counter. "Absolutely, actually we got a few new issues of Space-Pirates. Which is a big sci-fi hit, and if your brother likes that kind of thing then he will know about this comic." I handed her an issue of the comic then gestured to further back of the store. "We also have some collectable figurines, Star Wars, Star Trek, pretty much anything Star you could want."

I turned to her and smiled, "Is there anything for certain you know he likes, cause if I don't have it I can absolutely order it." I told her. "Maybe we should talk about you a little more. Are you interested in comics?" I winked.

Her friend scoffed, "Dude she isn't interested in your nerdy shit, hurry up Felicity grab your brother one of these magazines and let's go."

I think my eye twitched when she called comics magazines. "Why are you so angry. Are you wearing sandpaper panties?"

"Alright you two, let's play nice for at least a couple of minutes so I can find something good for Drake, okay?" I suggested, stepping in front of Amy who was very possibly about to claw the guy's eyes out for his last comment about her panties.

"Amy, why don't you just wait for me outside? It'll just take a minute, but if I have to play referee it's just going to take that much longer," I asked, hoping she would acquiesce.

For a long quiet moment, as she stared daggers at the clerk, I was sure she was going to refuse to play nice, but finally she smirked, "I guess I should get out of here as soon as possible, there seems to be an acne outbreak and an asshole outbreak fighting it out in here. Please don't keep me waiting too long, Felicity."

With a huff and a slam of the door, Amy was gone, leaving me with the man standing next to me. I turned to him and gave him a smile, "Sorry about my friend, I promise she isn't always a mega-bitch. My name's Felicity." I extended my hand out in greeting.

I watched the mega bitch go away and smiled as i took Felicity's hand. Her hand was soft and smooth and warm. I wanted to caress her skin but that would probably be creepy this soon after meeting her. I nodded, "Im Scott great to meet you. And i dont mind mega bitches i am a master debator." I winked, "Breaking mean girls down is a habit i had to learn in school. You either got bullies or you ripxped those bullies apart."

I gestured to the store, "Please feel free to look around and see if something catches your eye. If you have any questions or want to go out to dinner tomorrow night, just let me know." Oh even i thought that was smooth. I am not usually smooth but something about my timing just fit right then. Here's hoping she would bite the hook.

Scott was definitely funny, and cute in an awkward way. Did I already say that? Well, it's true. There was something charming about him, something that made me smile. It still makes me smile thinking about it now. I laughed at his jokes, ignoring the not so subtle stares from some of the teenage boys in the store, and found myself becoming comfortable with him. Suddenly I wasn't regretting the revealing clothing that I'd chosen any longer.

"So, my brother is into models and toys and things like that," I said, brushing just past Scott to step towards a large display of action figures. "I know he likes Battlestar Galactica and maybe Doctor Who. Not sure what else though."

I started to turn back around but didn't realize that Scott had moved up behind me, so when I did turn I bumped directly into him. Instinctively I stepped back and sent the display of action figures flying across the floor. "Oh, god. I'm so sorry. Oh, you're never going to let me come back to your store ever again, are you?"

I hid a smile as she crashed into the display jerking back from me. I hadn't meant to startle her like that, and honestly I didn't expect her to stop so suddenly or turn around against me. This close I could smell her perfume and feel the warmth coming from her skin, and to be honest it sent chills down my spine. Pleasurable chills. I shook my head to clear the clouded thoughts from my mind. I needed to get serious here, this girl was smoking hot and way out of my fucking league.

Her friend was right about that much at least. Felicity was on a level of beauty that most men only ever got to see in magazines. I was very much intimidated by talking to her. It was only my professionalism that kept me from babbling all over myself.

I put a hand on her shoulder and eased her from the collapsed display. "Don't worry about it, I have minions." I winked at her, "Watch this."

Then I turned to the group of card players and said, "Hey who wants some store credit?" Upon that of course people raised their hands. "Alright store credit goes to whoever comes an fixes this display." Four of them immediately came running to the ruin and started gathering up the figures.

I smiled at Felicity and said, "See no trouble at all. Now I heard you mention Battlestar." I moved over to the counter and opened a locked display case behind it. I pulled out a two foot tall robot modeled after the cilons in the show. "I think he'll go nuts over this thing. It walks, it talks, it responds to your voice." I flicked the on switch on the things back and said, "Wave at the pretty lady." The robot turned to me and wave at me.

"Okay well it doesn't respond perfectly I guess." I spun the robot toward her, "Wave at her you idiot." To which the robot slumped in a sad pose.

"Oh, it looks like your little man is having some performance issues," I told Scott as the Robot figure ignored his repeated commands and seemed to go limp. I reached down and picked up the toy and examined it, not really knowing what it was or whether Drake would actually like it or not.

"It's okay, I hear it happens to everyone," I joked, laughing as I patted Scott on the arm as if to reassure him.

I gestured to the toy and shrugged, "It responds to more than you'd think it does. What I can do is reset it and you just make sure your...brother was it? Anyway you make him be the first voice it hears and bam instant robot best friend." I told her chuckling, and rubbing my hand on the robot's head. "Right buddy?" I asked it.

The robot brightened and chirped, "Best friends!"

I sighed and knew that I was getting to the point in which she would be leaving. Man it was a shame, she was so much fun to look at. God she was beautiful, how was it even possibly girls like this could exist. What kind of guy did she date? Who was lucky enough to knab a girl like this, I couldn't even imagine it. I mean if I even saw her naked I am pretty sure I would get a nose bleed.

"Okay, I'll take the robot," I said with a smile as I picked it up and followed Scott to the cash register at the front of the store. As he started to ring up the sale, I leaned on the counter, intentionally giving him a good look at my breasts just to see if he was interested.

"So where are we going for dinner tomorrow night?" I asked, half serious, half joking. "I like sushi and steak and seafood and italian, and mexican...soooo...you can take me pretty much anywhere."

I was taken completely aback by her forwardness. After all i had only been teasing about the dinner thing and yet she pushed her breasts toward me openly. I glanced at them, of course, i mean my eyes couldnt stop themselves. My god they were amazing looking, i wanted to fall face first into her tits.

"I uh," i stammered. "I guess i will have to surprise you then." I told her. "Meet me here at eight oclock so i can close up shop and we'll go. Sound good?"

No one was going to believe this shit happened.

* * * *

"Bullshit Scott, there is no fucking way some chick just came in here amd asked you out."

Told yoilu no one would believe it.

I gave Lawerence a glare and shrugged. "Hey I dont believe it myself man but it happened. If you dont believe me then just wait here until eight and see if she shows up. Hell to be honest with you i dont actually expect her to show up either."

He snorted, "Yeah sure ill hang out to watch you stare at the door every second for your imaginary hot chick to walk through. Hey look Scott i know you havent had much luck with chicks lately but you dont have to make them up man. Beside if you were going to make a chick up you dont up a girl that no one in a million years would believe you actually had a shot with. Make up someone more on your level, like Sarah Jessica Parker."

I straightened and point at him. "Hey fuck you man. You know she looks like a foot."

"Right thats perfect for you. A footfaced girl."

I threw a box of cards at him.

"I still think he must have slipped you some kind of weird nerd mind control pill while you were in that store. I mean, hold fuck Felicity. You can date any guy in the city and you want to go out with a reject from the Big Bang Theory!" Amy said as she sat on the edge of my bed watching me get ready for my date with Scott.

"He was really nice and funny, too," I tried to explain for the millionth time since telling her about the date. "Don't roll your eyes at me, Amy. I told you before I was tired of going out with arrogant pricks. I want to date some one with a sense of humor and a brain." I was standing in the bathroom, focusing on putting my makeup on, but the door was open so I could Amy in the mirror.

"I know, but a comic book geek? Really? You can find someone better than that," she said, flopping down onto the bed in frustration.

"You're the one who has been nagging my to go out, well,I'm going out," I pointed out as I finished applying a touch of eyeliner and moved on to my lipstick. "Now instead of trying to talk me into standing him up, why don't you help me decide what to wear. I was thinking either that light blue dress with the flowers or maybe something a little less dressy, some jeans and a sexy top...what do you think?"

"I think we need to take you to the ER and see what that freak drugged you with," Amy responded, still staring up at the ceiling.

"Jeans and a top it is."

Gregg came out of the backroom with a small stack of papers in his hand. "Well at least I believe you're not a liar anymore." He said coming up to the counter. He dropped the papers in front of us and they turned out to be security camera photos he printed out of the girl they were not the best quality pictures but you could see Felecity fairly well and she was clearly a good looking woman. "Check these out."

"Holy shit!" Lawerence said grabbing up a photo abd getting a better look. "She is way outta your league Scott. There is no way she is going out with....."

The sound of the door opening cut him off flat. We looked up together as she walked through the door. She wore jeans and a top cut to reveal plenty of cleavage. The shape of her amazing body. She had done her make up up a little bit thus looking even more amazing than she had before.

Lawrence moved forward and held out his hand to her. "Hi Im Lawerence, Scott's less nerdy and handsomer friend."

"Jesus Lawerence, how about not jumping on her the moment she walks in. Can we pretend to be someone normal human beings." I said coming around the counter. I moved up to her and smiled, "Hey Felecity. You look great."

"Hey, thanks," I replied, leaning in and giving Scott a quick kiss on the cheek, one hand on his bicep. "You look good, too."

"Nice to meet you, Lawrence," I said, turning deliberately to smile at Scott's friend, but leaving my hand on Scott's arm, just as a little signal that he had no chance with me because I was into Scott.

"So where are we going? I wasn't really sure what to wear since you wanted to be all secret agent about our destination," I explained, turning my attention back to Scott. "I hope I didn't under dress...or over dress for that matter."

I didnt expect her to kiss my cheek. But i was too stunned by how incredible she looked to move. Fortunately so were my friends. I knew that they didnt believe me when i told them about her. Now they saw her first hand and she looked even better.

I shook my head, "You look....amazing." i told her.

I glanced back at my friends, "Alright see you later guys."

"Can we come?" Gregg asked.

I led her toward the door, "I think not."

After we were out the door Lawerence said, "I think hell just froze over."

We went to a steakhouse for dinner. A nice place in the valley that made amazing steaks. I am very much a meat eater, and nothing makes me feel better than a good steak with a beautiful woman. It was looking like a good night heading my way.

"Sorry about my friends. They dont get to see people.....or sunkight much." I told her blushing softly after we ordered drinks.

I was really happy with Scott's choice of restaurants. I was definitely in the mood for a nice thick, juicy piece of meat...steak that is. I know, cheesy joke, which is why I didn't say it out loud as we sat down and started to scan the menu. I definitely thought it though, making myself smile a little.

"Sorry about my friends. They dont get to see people.....or sunlight much," he explained as the waitress walked away from the table.

"Oh please, they seemed harmless," I replied as I sat my menu down on the table. "If anybody needs to apologize for their friends, it would be me. Amy can be a real bitch sometimes. And, honestly, she'd probably not the worst one. I mean, I know they love me and they are just trying to be good friends, but just once in awhile, I'd like them to trust my decisions, you know?"

"How long have you and Lawrence known each other?" I asked, deciding it was better to shift the conversation away from my overly judgmental friends, and learn a little more about my date in the process.

I smiled as she talked shit about her bitchy friend. Then she turned the focus on me, which was a dating no-no for a guy. I read in book that it wasn't good to be the one that talked. Chicks liked to talk about themselves and the best idea was to sit back and listen. But I'm too stupid to think about that so I leaned back in my seat and took a deep breath.

"Lawerence and I met in college, early...I think maybe freshman orientation or something like that. He was majoring in business and I was majoring in bullshit. When he learned about the comic book store I wanted to open, he had all these ideas and we hit it off." I told her. "I've always been drawn to comics, and fantasy things. My real life wasn't that great and mostly overly boring so I saw wizards and dragons and that sort of thing a way to escape the monotony of it all."

I glanced behind her and saw a couple leaving their table. However the woman had forgotten her jacket on her chair. I stood up quickly and looked at Felicity. "Excuse me. I'll be right back."

I darted to the chair and then ran after the couple, catching them at the entrance.

When I turned back to my table there was another guy sitting in my chair....

* * * *

Keith was a very good looking man. Built like a truck, pro wide receiver for the NFL. He had it made. He also just so happened to be eating at the steakhouse when he saw his ex-girlfriend Felicity walk in with some scrawny doofus. So of course he needed to stroke his ego and took the chance to chat up Felicity the moment the guy left the table.

Without being asked he sat across from her and gave her his best smile. "Hello Felicity, long time no see." He told her.

As the guy she came in with came back to the table he smirked, "Ah, yes sir great. I'd like a Martini and the lady here will have a Long Island Ice-Tea. You still like those right Felicity?"

* * * *

Did this asshole just place an order with me? I didn't look like the waitstaff did I? I glanced around and as it turned out I kinda did. I blushed and shook my head, "Actually I think there has been some kind of mistake."
