Outdoor activities

I like hiking in the mountains. Always with my doggy, sometimes with one close friend or lover, sometimes with no other humans.

Group hiking would totally kill the experience for me. For me it's not about socialising; it's about feeling pretty much alone in nature.

Damn! Here I was getting ready to play a game like Jeopardy or sumthin' and you're talking about mosquitoes...

 :D
Damn, didn't even notice it. I think I had the necessary letters, just not arranged in the correct order. I guess I misquoted myself about mosquitoes.

Before you make any big purchases, look for clubs built around your prospective hobby. Some people I know got into kayaking by joining the university club. They didn't have to buy anything for a year or so until they were skilled enough to go on river trips. Even then, they still used the groups boats, they just bought PFDs, helmets, etc. They finally bought their own boats after determining what they wanted, etc.

And, especially with a hobby like kayaking, you want to make sure you know how to do so SAFELY.
Oh safety is my utmost priority. Thank you!
I used to kayak a lot, have owned a couple of them in my time. I'd be happy to answer questions.
Thanks! When I'm ready to buy my first kayak, I'll come back and get your feedback.

I see what you mean. I guess I like both. Every once in a while it might be nice to go hiking with others, although most of the time, I go for short ones on my own. I like that I'm able to take the time to process all the stuff in my head.

That's too funny. I didn't notice it either!
