Okay, after a nice date two weeks ago, the 'relationship' has since then flopped due to circumstances at work. And no, I don't wanna talk about it, lol.
Anyways, an interesting thing happened to me today.
I went with my friend to the doctor, and then to the drugstore. We had to wait for twenty minutes, so we ran to the grocery store next door.
Well, on our way out, a sailor boy walked in. (In uniform, or I wouldn't be calling him a sailor boy, lol.)
We cast our appreciative glances, and continued on to the store.
Low and behold, he ended up in line in front of us. Again, we got our eyes full.
He disappeared, and we went back to the pharmacy. There was a table with a checker board, so my friend and I started playing. I was beating her soundly, and she didn't like it, so she quit playing.
Well, Mr. Sailor Boy walks in. Again, we roll our tongues back into our mouth.
My friend gets called up to the counter about her prescription, and I sat there rearranging the checker board.
Out of the blue, I hear a voice say, "Want to play?"
I glance up, and who is speaking? SAILOR BOY!
I say, "Excuse me?", totally taken by surprise. Shit like this does NOT happen to me, lol.
He replies, "Would you like to play with me?"
After about 300 innapropriate replies run through my head, I say, "I'd love to. I'm pretty good though, so beware."
He says, "I'll take my chances."
So we start playing, my friend turns around and her chin hits the floor. She sits down, and we keep playing, talking, flirting.
Her prescription is ready, and we're still playing....
He asks if I have time for another game, and I say I do.
More talking and flirting... then the game is over, his prescritpion is ready, and I'm not ready to go.
I leave not knowing who he is or where he's from. The only thing I do know is his name, and that he's 27.
He said that our games would be the highlight of his day, and he wished he didn't have to go back to work.
Let me say again, that this NEVER EVER EVER NEVER happens to me! lol.
In real life, guys do not approach me.
If they do, they're either on oxygen using a walker, or they're married.
Guys my age, or pretty close, don't even turn around for a second glance.
The fact that a very attractive 27 year old sailor boy asked me to play with him blew my mind, lol.
I think I'm cute, but I must have a doubt in my mind that I am, or it wouldn't shock me so bad when someone shows the slightest bit of interest.
I need to figure out whats 'wrong' with me, and fix it or become happy with it, lol.
Anyways, I just wanted to share. I told my friend that he'd probably be a good boyfriend.
I mean, what kind of guy sporadically asks some girl he doesn't know to play checkers with him? I found it rather endearing.
And he had dark hair and blue eyes.... I can't say no to blue eyes.
