Hell you can not even tell in many cases if they are human

Some of us would prefer to let our information be learned by those we think worthy of the knowledge.

I personally don't care.. I don't leave my profile blank for any reason beside the fact that I dont have much interesting to put on it.

My pic is up, and my name says 'she' in it, though, so it's kinda obvious that I'm female.

Perhaps using that single example of what is missing from someones profile was misleading .......

I can not count the number of profiles I have been to where there is NOT one item of personal information with lines just plain blank

You've always been one of if not the most straightforward people here, Richard...you use your own pic, post accurate and open information about yourself...without artifice.

Ah, then I see your point. When I come across a new poster, I click on their profiles to learn more about them. If there's something there, then the person has a better chance of "sticking" in my mind.

My profile is short because I deleted the longer version and haven't thought of anything else to put there yet. Perhaps that's the case for most people.

You're welcome, Richard...I don't think you put any expectations on others, but you always provide a fine example for others in my view.

With that, I'll repopulate my profile...I stripped it a while back cuz I noticed that most people said nothing about themselves.

The stuff in my profile is there because of my author page on the main site. The people who read my stories see all of that information. The BB profile and author profile are pretty close to the same.

What you see in my profile is all the information I'm interested in giving to people who read my porno. I like them, they're great people, but the only thing I'm interested in sharing with them are my stories.

Most people who write me are normal and just want to drop a line and let me know what they thought. Some people ignore the biography where it says married, not interested, and try to pick me up. The less information I have up there, the better.

It used to irritate me but I got over it. I like knowing whom I'm debating with but, as you say, with so little information, there's not much to go on. So I treat everyone the same and if they're too young to take a cutting remark without bursting into tears or coming back at me with a string of swearing then so be it.

I do have a sort of rule of thumb. Those that don't list their full birth date are usually female, young or both...

I think it's important to have information in your profile--not necessarily personal or revealing stuff. Just a starting point for other people or someway for them to remember you.
Unless you don't want to be remembered.

Mine had lots of things in it at one time, but trolls have a way of silencing us.

Its not so important to me to learn more, I just read what they say on the board and leave it at that. Its funny though that you mentioned not being able to determine what sex they are, because I ran into that yesterday in a PM. I responded to a thread by PM (again, trolls) and quickly learned that I answered the topic all backwards because I thought the she was a he.
Could've been worse, I suppose.

In real life, when I mention Mr. Mischka to a new friend/acquaintance, it's always followed by, "You're married? I didn't know that!" I wear a wedding band, but people say I don't "act" married, so they don't notice it. Obviously, I must not consider my marriage a defining attribute, either, since I forgot to mention it as well.

I am not suggesting anyone show there underwear in there profile ( though I have seen people on the Amiture Pic thing that have nothing on there profiles).
