Cenk Uygur absolutely destroys the Washington Post’s anti-Sanders editorial with this amazing rant

The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur unleashed fury on the Washington Post over an editorial that accused Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) of “selling his own brand of fiction to a slice of the country that eagerly wants to buy it.”

While the Post piece accused Sanders of telling a populist story to win voters, Uygur angrily pointed out that Sanders is the real deal, and he has 40 years of consistent legislative action to prove it.

“His record has been enormously consistent,” Uygur answers back, “Everybody is so sick of the fakeness. The fakeness that you guys and the mainstream media represents.”

He then accused the Post of being the “establishment” and pointed out that many media outlets are owned by big corporations.

“Corporations are gigantic and enormously rich and powerful,” he said. “You think they want change? What would we change? We’d change them! They don’t want that change.”

"And that's a fact!":)

I like Bernie Sanders. I intend to vote for him in the Democratic primary. There are two areas where I disagree with him.

First, like other Democrats he favors more immigration. I like immigrants. Nevertheless, immigrants depress wages. It is a simple matter of supply and demand.

Second, he seems to want college education to be free for anyone who wants to go to college, regardless of if the person is, as they used to say, "college material."

There are countries where college education is free to the PhD level. However, it is restricted to those who qualify by passing entrance exams.

I guess what I would like would be for Sanders to do well enough in the primary that Hillary adopts some of his ideas for the general election. Unfortunately, she may be indited for those e-mails.

The Democrats who matter are wealthy. Hillary is one of them, and so is Sanders. All the talk about fucking the rich is fantasy. More, no one is getting reparations or free college or free anything.

The debt Obama added woulda let every American spend around 75K for whatever. We coulda bought new cars and everything you can imagine. But the money went to the banks so they don't gotta pay you shit for savings, it bailed out the wall street bankers, and let Hillary buy Microsoft and GM for free. You got shit.

The GOP woulda done as much or as little. The whole fucking crew are 1 percenters.

What you got are niggers running wild, illegals taking all the jobs, fags getting all the government jobs, and stupid bitch perfessers teaching you shit you cant get a job with. The Hamburger University has campuses across America.

Youre numnut dolts.

'telling a populist story to win voters'

The anti-Trump! Mirror universe version of the Donald.

Was going to ask if you maybe had a bit too much to drink and mistook them for speaking of the Donald.

Those Young Turks are great. Funny and bang on!

Bernie sounds like a great guy. Tad old but then we can't discriminate against someone for that.

Bill Maher: Republicans have gone way beyond ‘zombie lies’ to ‘just making sh*t up’

Real Time host Bill Maher closed his show on Friday by sounding almost nostalgic for the era of GOP “zombie lies.”

“In a very short time, Republicans have gone beyond even the ‘zombie lie’ to just making shit up,” he marveled.

He singled out presidential candidate Carly Fiorina’s insistence that she watched video showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing how to harvest the brain of a “fully-formed fetus on [a] table,” a charge she has defended despite all evidence to the contrary proving her wrong.

“That video doesn’t exist, unless you subscribe to Nutflix,” Maher ranted.

Similarly, the host said, Donald Trump only doubled down when hit with the fact that there was no evidence to corroborate his claim that there were 10,000 Muslims “cheering” in New Jersey after the 9/11 attacks.

“He’s like Pinocchio — except when he tells a lie, his b*lls grow bigger,” Maher said.

One reason conservatives have been able to get away with this kind of brazen lying, he argued, was that the Internet had deteriorated from the “information superhighway” to “bullshit boulevard,” allowing more people to live their lives fact-free.
