it really doesn't hurt that much

Have you taken a shower yet? That's usually when the pain starts!

People laugh when I breakout my 2000 SPF (read "long sleeved shirt") but with my fair English skin it doesn't take long for me to burn. Especially when I'm out on the water like yesterday. It wouldn't be all that bad if I tanned, but I just burn, peel and am back to white again.

PS - I hope "T" didn't end up in the same boat!

It was still a fun day.

God that looks painful! Better let someone rub something on your breasts...I mean rub so aloe on your skin...

Naw..he was safely tucked away, out of the sun.

I'm jealous that you sailed, though...

I didn't get to sail, I got to run the whole show!!!

I was Race Committee which means I set the course, started the race, "monitored" everyone and then set the finish line and recorded the times. All from a powerboat. So I got to do some things I don't usually do. Like watch the race and speed through the fleet at about 30-40 mph (it was probably a lot slower but when you're used to going about 7 knots in a sailboat, 15 mph is really cruising!)

It was a nice change. You get to yell obscene things at everyone, not just the boats you're close to. Even had an obscene conversation with one of the girls on the boat when we were blowing up the floating buoys we we're using. We have a pump that sucks and blows and you can imagine where the conversation went from there!

You never shared how you ended up in this predicament.

I did have a great day and I fell off the wagon. (Remember the conversation we had the other day about my addiction?). I drove by a small lake a few miles from home today and had to stop the truck and look out on the water. My first thought was, this would be a great place to sail. Then I was just outside with the dog and thought about how today would've been a great day to take the boat out early and not come back until dark.

The monkey is on my back again. First time this year. I better get him off before we quit in September.

By the way, the water here is way, way too cold for swimming. Maybe in August it'll be warm enough so you could last 15 minutes. LOL

Hi draaaah! I'm glad it doesn't really hurt that much, it looks ouchy. I burnt the back of my neck yesterday whilst barbecuing hamburgers and hot dogs and swilling beer. I thought it was somehow appropriate. A wife-beater t-shirt would have capped the ensemble off nicely, but I was fresh outta those.

I'm glad you had a fun day. Mine was a blast as well.

Okay, okay, I wasn't really swilling beer either, but bottled water would have ruined the whole redneck vibe I had going.

<laughing>......and flashing to a visual of you out by the pool....your ribbed wife-beater tee stretched across your broad chest.....hair peeking outta the top....as you swig on a bud......and curse at the kids as they squeal and play......oh yeah....you need to be chewing tobacco, too....or just spitting to the side...doing those nasty nasal thangs men do.....spitting and snorting snot into the grass.....omg......what a fucking STUD......c'mere baby...

YUCK!

yikes alex!...here's a lil help for you.....bless your heart.....
