It was nearing 1 pm. Andi had originally hated the later lunch hour, finding the cafeteria of the hospital to be rather low on anything interesting by the time everyone else had plowed through. Still, working at Saint Thomas Medical Center was an absolute blessing for the 21 year old, gaining a slot as a nurse's aide as she made her way through college. Her current rounds in the elderly wing were getting a bit tedious, though. There were only so many times she could hear Mister Reynoldo's story about the train that took him to the wrong state, Missus Ward asking 'How's your father?' like they knew each other.

With a sigh, she simply got a few bags of chips and colas from the vending machine, making her way to the waiting room that overlooked the atrium. A quiet little spot, a place she'd met a few interesting people. Tommy, the little boy who came in to see his dad overcoming cancer surgery. Eric, the football player needing physical therapy.

And Wendy.

She'd been coming in for awhile now, someone Andi struck up a random conversation with about the heavy rainstorm happening one afternoon. They'd talked a number of times now, Andi coming to realize there was a pattern to these stops. She'd asked about it, but Wendy didn't seem to want to talk about it. Simply that it was a medical condition that was being looked into. Andi certainly didn't want to pry, so she left it alone. Still, the thought of something wrong with her new friend lingered far too often.

She glanced at the big black clock as she entered the open space, noticing that she was actually earlier than usual. It was one of Wendy's days. She'd be here soon.

A light smile came to her lips, setting the spare snacks in the chair beside her before peering out the window. The cherry blossoms were coming in. How pretty...

She unclipped her ID badge from her scrubs, playing with the clasp before glancing down at it and making a face. Andrea Cooper in big bolded print and her own horrid attempt at a smile. They refused to let her put "Andi"... and refused twice as much on retaking the photo.

1:15.
She hoped Wendy liked a snack too.

Wendy Dixon sighed as she looked up at the clean looking, dignified structure of Saint Thomas. Today would be another day of being poked and prodded and examined and probably all for nothing in the end. This wasn't the first place she'd come to see about her...condition. All the others had failed her too.

But her pace quickened nonetheless as she drew close to the doors. She might be able to talk to Andi today.

She'd met the nurse's aide at random; two people in the same place watching a thunderstorm roll through when Andi just started talking to her. They talked since then several times; it was actually the high point of Wendy's time as a patient here. She liked Andi a lot and thought of her as a friend. Sometimes she'd even thought...

Wendy flushed as the first few memories of those imaginings flickered through her mind. She stopped in front of the doors; her hands moving to the full length skirt she wore despite the spring warmth and adjusting it. Her eyes scanned it for...well, it wasn't showing. Thank God. Think about something else.

Because that was just a dream.

Wendy made her way through the now familiar hallways to the lonely little waiting area by the atrium. She'd gone there at first because it was out of the way and almost no one was ever there. It wasn't that she didn't like people, but her condition...she was scared to be too friendly with anyone. But now she went there each visit in the hopes Andi would have time to talk.

She beamed as she came into the waiting room, "Andi, hi!" Wendy would have loved to give the girl a hug but that was a terrible idea. "It's so nice to see you." How she managed to make the scrubs look fetching was beyond Wendy, but Andi pulled it off. "How has your day been? Oh, chips!"

Wendy looked around for a doctor or nurse, "May I have some? I'm supposed to not eat for today's exam but I'm starving."

Hearing her name, Andi looked up and immediately smiled. "Hey, Wendy! I managed to get off a few minutes early. Different head nurse this week. Looks like quite a few people taking time off lately..."

It was nice to see Wendy smiling like that. Most people seemed so nervous when it came to treatments and exams. An understandable thing, but a bright smile was a good way to show how things wouldn't bring you down- and the one on Wendy's face made her smile just as much.

"So far so good for me. Got asked to fill in with one of the other departments for a bit later, but nothing terrible... A little paperwork, gets me out of running the floors with Terry..." She paused, laughing as Wendy spotted the spare snack. "Go for it. I'm sure a few won't hurt anything. But if they ask? Totally didn't get it from me." She popped open her soda, using the open can to gesture to the other bag and can. "I grabbed those for you. Thought that a little nibble before tests might help. But if its a fasting bloodwork... Go easy on them. Don't need them over poking you because I screwed up your levels with good intentions."

She pointed to the window then, smiling slightly. "Check it out. The Japanese blossoms. They finally bloomed." Andi's smiled a moment longer, letting it slowly fade away. The mention of tests... She really hoped that whatever the treatment was that Wendy had been getting was working. As much as she enjoyed hanging out with her, the surroundings and circumstances just didn't seem the best.

"They had me in pediatrics for a bit this morning. This little girl- ohh, she was so adorable, Wendy. But the rash-! Shingles or something. Poor kid. She kept telling me how itchy she was and how her dad said she couldn't touch. Wanted me to scratch it for her. Smart little sneak. Felt so bad to tell her no... She was just shaking from holding back."

Another sip, a glance over. That concern still there.
"Everything's... everything's okay, right?," she asked softly. "I know its not really my place to ask, but- I just... Yeah. Not my place."

"I can control myself," she said with a faint sniff, turning her nose up and then giggling. "I promise, just two or three little chips." She plucked up one of the bags and opened it pulling out a thin crisp snack and crunching happily on it as she looked out the windows Andi in dictated.

"They're beautiful," she answered. "I've always wanted to go to one of those festival picnic things, you know? Where you sit under the trees and look at the blossoms; it would be so much fun...even romantic." She flushed and then sighed, "Not that romance is in the cards for me."

Not with her condition. No one, guy or girl, would want anything to do with her once they knew.

She noticed the worry in Andi's expression and posture before she spoke and Wendy felt an aching longing in her heart. Andi was so sweet and smart enough to know that the way Wendy was coming here, whatever was wrong with her was serious. But she couldn't tell her. It would change everything; she couldn't bear to see that same look of revulsion and distaste in Andi's eyes.

It would just kill her.

Wendy reached over and put a hand on top of Andi's and gave it a light squeeze, "Hey, don't say that. You're my friend, Andi. It's nice that you worry, though I'm sorry you do. It is your place to ask, that's what friends do, right?"

It might have been assuming to call Andi her friend. To Andi, she might just be someone she knew in passing but to Wendy...she didn't really have friends. She was too scared of people, of what would happen if they found out.

She licked her lips and looked back out the window. "My condition isn't a danger to me; a physical danger," she amended. "It doesn't hurt me, I'm not in any pain, and it won't kill me." Wendy sighed; not directly anyway. She wore long sleeves and bracelets to cover up the old scars on her wrists. "But it's made my life hell otherwise."

Wendy looked over an Andi, her eyes showing faint fear, "I can't tell you what it is, but you don't have to worry about my health, okay?"

Andi frowned a little at the mention of Wendy's thoughts on finding no love. She had been feeling that way herself lately. She hadn't even been on a date, a real date, in over a year. The last guy she'd even tried to go out with rather ruined that for her. Instead, she focused on work. Her cat. Even her car, which she knew very little about.

"Hey, don't be like that. As my friend Anne says, there's someone for everyone. Sometimes you just need to really look hard. And sometimes it can be in obvious places you never thought." She paused, peering around. "Come to think of it, some of those ambulance paramedics that go flying through can be pretty hot, right?" She smirked, glancing back at Wendy.

She thought of her as a friend. Something that made Andi beam. "Of course I'm your friend," she said softly, reaching out to take the other's hand. "Aside from where it happens, I like seeing you and chatting like this. This place can be.... Well, depressing. Really depressing."

So it wasn't what she had feared. A little sigh of relief came from her, shaking her head. "I'm glad to hear that. Not- not that you having a condition is good, but... But that it's nothing bad. I mean- not- no. Wait. I mean not life threatening." She groaned, running a hand against her forehead. "That all came out so wrong. I need more caffeine or something.... Sorry.... But- yeah. I was worried."

She sighed again, sipping her soda. A sudden thought hit her, something she had seen in the hospital newsletter earlier. Maybe that was something to help brighten her friend...? "There's a Gardens festival coming up this weekend at Highfield Manor. The hospital is giving staff free passes. Would... You like to go with me? We can call it a girls day out." She smiled again, glancing to Wendy.

Wendy blushed at Andi's mention of the paramedics. She giggled, "Yeah, they are." She'd only dreamed about being with a man. She did have a toy to, ah, simulate the experience but she was sure it wasn't the same. However, she knew that there would never be a guy in her life. "But a lot of them aren't really my type...and being a patient..."

Besides, she did like guys but...she liked girls more. Girls like Andi. Especially when she smiled the way she did when she confirmed they were friends; it just seemed to make her heart swell.

She really should not think like that at all.

It was Wendy's turn to beam as her friend struggled to express herself about her condition. "It's okay, I know what you mean. And thank you, for being worried. I mean, I don't want to worry you but it's nice to be thought about." She shook her head, "And I understand that things are probably very dark here for you sometimes, so...it makes sense to be worried, as often as I'm here."

She turned to look out the window at the cherry blossoms again and lifted another chip to her lips, just this one more, when Andi mentioned the festival and the unthinkable happened. Wendy's eyes went wide and she stared at the nurse's aide as though she'd just spoken in some crazy moon language, the chip sticking out from between her lips.

Andi wanted to go somewhere with her? Really? Should she say yes? What if something happened? But, wait...what would happen? It was a garden festival not a wrestling tournament.

She blushed rosily and then smiled, the forgotten chip falling out of her mouth. "Oh! Oh, that would be great!" The pretty brunette bobbed in place a moment before she impulsively hugged her friend, "Thank you for asking, I'd love to! It's been so long since I was out...anywhere!"

Wendy then realized she may have overstepped and jerked back, "Oh, s-sorry!" She smiled sheepishly and laughed, "I got carried away which...had to look pretty sad, really."

She glanced up at the clock, "I should probably go in now. Um, will you be around later?"

Andi laughed a little as her friend gave her a sudden hug, placing her arm gently around Wendy's back. "Hey, no problem!," she exclaimed, smiling softly. "I'll get the tickets tomorrow during the staff meeting."

She smiled again as Wendy moved away hastily, shaking her head. "I don't mind a hug. I rather like them. And yours are much nicer than the ones I get from the old folk that keep thinking I'm one of their kids or something. They don't seem to want to let go until I agree!" Her smile stayed through it all, finding Wendy's reaction to it all rather... cute. Wendy had mentioned her condition made things hard for her, as well as her lack of outings lately. Andi was certain now- Even if it was slightly against the hospital's code of ethics, she was spending more time with Wendy. It wasn't like she was her direct patient or anything!

Andi nodded in agreement over needing to head out. "My break's just about over. The whole shortstaff thing means I'll probably be bumped somewhere else... Ever thought of becoming a nurse's aide? We could use the help. And scrubs are so sexy." She struck a goofy pose, resting a hand on her hip and jutting her chest forward before laughing. "But, yeah. I'll be around." She started to pick up her empty can and bag, a sudden noise of realization coming from her. "I should just give you my cell number! I'm an idiot."

Grabbing a flier from the stand, she took a pen from her pocket and quickly scribbled her info. "Thankfully I don't have doctor's writing yet," she teased as she handed it over. "If I can't answer, feel free to leave a message, or a text if you want. I can get to those easier." She glanced around, then whispered, "I'm not supposed to have it on while on rounds... but I do anyway." She smirked, then gave a quick wave. "Talk to you later, hun!"

Heading back to her station, Andi couldn't break the smile from her face. Knowing she had made Wendy beam like that, the excitement she had for the anticipated day out- It made her just as excited! Also knowing that her friend was in no immediate medical danger lifted a great weight from her shoulders; the thought of some life threatening disease being the cause of their continuous visits was something that certainly would have put a slight damper on the situation.

"Cooper!"

Andi nearly jumped out of her skin as the Head Nurse came up behind her, turning around quickly. "Mrs Long, hi... You- kinda spooked me."

"Hrm." No real reaction from her. "Just got word we're splitting up the aides. Some are headed over to pediatrics, some to the ER... You and Fredericks, they want down in Clinical Studies. Some idiot messed up the computer system down there, and they need you two to compare hard files with last printouts."

Oh, that sounded fun.
Still, better than being puked on again. "Yeah, yeah. I'll get right down there."
"Grab Fredericks on your way!," Mrs Long called after her. "He's over in ICU checking catheters!"

Lucky him.

Wendy laughed at Andi's posing out, "They must be tres chic," the brunette said with a smile, "Everyone around here's wearing them!" Truth be told, she thought Andi made them look pretty hot. Better than any of the other nurses or doctors here!

She took the offered number gladly, "I won't tell anyone, and I'll text you soon so you can have my number too!" Oh, this was exciting! It was sort of sad that she was so excited over this...but making friends beyond casual contact was a rare thing in her life.

She answered the parting wave with one of her own and watched Andi go until she turned a corner out of sight. Wendy glanced around to make sure no one else was around, then she let out a soft squeal of delight and did a little pirouette of joy. Who knew today would turn out so well?

Humming softly, the tapped Andi's number rather short contacts list as she headed down for her appointment. It was a bit of a walk but one reason she had come to that waiting area in the first place was that it would make no one think she was here to go to the Clinical Studies department.

The check in and initial talk was a matter of routine now; Wendy not even thinking as she answered a harried assistant's questions before being shown to a room to strip down and wait for the doctor to arrive. She'd never been to Highfield Manor before. What would it be like? And what did you do at a gardens festival anyway?

Lost in thought about the upcoming event and her new friend, Wendy stripped off the concealing clothes she wore. Under the thin long sleeve sweater she wore a white baby doll style top that was a bit snug over her pleasantly perky and rounded breasts. She caught sight of herself in a mirror and smiled sadly; this way she looked pretty good; she knew people admired her chest when they thought she didn't see them. If they knew about the rest of her though...

She sighed bitterly and slid her hands to the hidden catch of her skirt to undo it and unzip before she shimmied out of the garment and let the fabric pool on the floor. Again she looked at her reflection. "...A freak," she whispered to no one.

Her legs were shapely and supple, long and trim. Her hips were round and her waist narrow; her ass pert and sweet but not too big. But all that meant nothing when anyone saw or even knew about the bulge in her pretty white panties; the garment doing nothing to conceal her deformity, a thick, proud, natural and fully functional cock and below the swelling of her heavy sack.

Wendy looked at herself in disgust for a few moments before sighing again and getting onto the examination chair. She turned her head away from the mirror on the back of the door. She would not look at it while she waited.

"So Joey, how's the view?" Andi smirked as she found her partner for the afternoon, laughing as he gave her a simple Look that gave enough answer to last a lifetime. The joke was NOT funny. "I'm saving your butt. Come on, we're going to play secretary for awhile."

"Sounds better than this," He sighed, tossing down the clipboard and following after her. As they walked the halls, he rested his fingertips behind his head, arms folded out and glancing at her. "So that little hottie you chat things up with every week... What's her name?"

"Her name is Touch Her and I Kill You." Andi glanced at him, raising an eyebrow. "I've heard about your escapades, buddy. Don't even think about it."

He whistled, holding his hands up defensively. "Ok, damn. She's all yours."

Andi rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "That's totally not what I meant."

"Uhhuh. I get it. Completely explains why you haven't fallen for me yet."

"No, that's simply because you're an ass." She smirked again, tossing a notebook to him as they reached their final destination. "Here, you go write down the names, I'm going to get the first batch of files from the back room." She started down one of the little corridors, pausing to look at each door for the right room for the cabinets. She frowned slightly, finding that none of these looked like storage rooms- just more rooms for patients and such.

A doctor suddenly poked out from one of the rooms, nearly hitting her with the door before peeking around the side. "Oh, goodness! I'm sorry dear. It's just so busy down here today. I've got a patient here that's having terrible issues with one of his medications- the whole see a doctor if over 6 hours... You think 24 would have been too long..." He shook his head, then pointed to a room down the hall. "Could you do me a giant favor, dear? I have another patient there that just needs to leave me a sample for the moment. Grab one of the specimen cups and bring it in to them please?"

"Oh. Yeah, sure, no problem..." She smiled, going to fetch one of the cups he indicated and going to the room. Knocking lightly on it before stepping in, she held the cup out before her as she opened the door. "Hello there! The doctor asked me to bring this in to you and-"

She froze, her eyes raising from the cup to the patient.
Wendy?

"What're you doing down here?," She asked softly, a confused look on her face. "Isn't this for-" Andi paused, her gaze unintentionally wandering across her nearly naked friend. The confusion came when she realized there was something not quite... right... about this picture. "...Wendy? Wh...What...?"

Wendy lay back on the examination chair with half closed eyes. The doctor was taking a lot longer than usual today...but Andi said the place was understaffed. She smiled, thinking about her new friend. It was so wonderful!

She let her mind wander as she waited. Wendy knew that given her condition, she'd never have certain things but that didn't mean she didn't think about them. She liked to dream that things were different. She spun a daydream of what the Garden Festival might be like and having fun with Andi, and afterwards, drawing close, a sudden, shocking kiss from her pretty friend...

She bit her lower lip as she felt a tingle in her unwanted member. She only touched it for cleanliness purposes; the lack of touch and of release leaving it sensitive to even this light fantasizing. She pressed her lips together to muffle a whimper as her cock began to swell and grow rigid, rubbing against and over the material of her panties as it pushed to protrude over the top of them.

The door opened and she flushed. Oh, God! Having a partial hard-on in front of the doctor would just be mortifying! But then it got SO much worse.

"Hello there! The doctor asked me to bring this in to you and-" Oh. Oh, no. A woman's voice and it was- "What're you doing down here? Isn't this for-"

For a moment, Wendy wished she'd really fallen asleep and this was just a nightmare. But she knew better, and turned to see Andi standing in the room before her with a look of gobsmacked confusion on her fair features. "...Wendy? Wh...What...?"

Wendy's cheeks were bright red and her eyes wide and suddenly wet and stinging. Why? Why couldn't she even have a single good day or friend? "Andi, don't look! I...I'm sorry." Sorry she was a freak, sorry Andi had ever liked her or trusted her, sorry she was ever born. "It's, I...I'm sorry!"

She threw herself out of the chair and grabbed the privacy curtain, jerking it around to hide her. As if that meant anything now. Andi had seen her deformity; knew her for the freakish, depraved thing she was. "I-I'll fill the...I'm sorry," her voice wavered and cracked. "Please, leave it and I'll...please, just leave it and go, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She scurried behind the chair as well as the curtain, trying to put as much between her and Andi's eyes as possible.

"...Wendy?..."
Andi was so confused, standing in shock over what she had just seen. She didn't quite understand. Her newly developed friendship certainly had a surprise hidden in it. She hadn't intended to look for so long- though it only been a brief moment before Wendy had shot up in horror and yanked the curtain closed, she had certainly seen enough to question what she had seen.

She was begging her to go.
Andi actually... Hesitated. "I- I'm sorry, Wendy. I didn't- I didn't mean to- I'll go, I am so, so sorry..."

Quickly opening the door behind her, she backed out, closing it once more and staring down at the handle. The explanation she had gotten earlier... She wasn't sick, just something that made her life hard... Hard. Yeah. She had noticed that too. Wendy had been-

She slapped a hand against her face, shivering at the image that replayed in her mind; her friend laying there, those beautiful feminine curves and delicate skin exposed- and the hardened cock pulling back her panties. Andi had thought about girls before, kissed another at one time.... But never anything serious. Then why was this lingering?!

"Is my patient all set?," the approaching doctor asked, nearly causing Andi to jump out of her skin.

"Y-yeah," she mumbled back, hastily rushing down the hall. It wouldn't go away. The thoughts of Wendy, quiet, lovely little Wendy.... And what was hidden away. All the things she said made so much more sense...

"Woah. You look like you saw a ghost," noted Joey as she returned. "Uhhh.... Files?"

"Something.... Unexpected." She frowned, avoiding looking at him. "I couldn't find them. You go try."
She just didn't want to run into Wendy again... She didn't want to upset her once more. But those questions, those thoughts- they simply wouldn't stop, the more she tried to push them away...

The appointment with the doctor had been incredibly hard to endure. Not the man himself; he was as sweet and kind always, one of the better doctors she had. But she couldn't stop thinking about Andi and what her new friend had seen.

Her new friend...probably her former new friend now. No one had ever stuck with Wendy after learning about her condition. She'd even faced attacks and abuse from some people once they knew. Andi would be disgusted by her now, maybe even feel betrayed.

But part of her mind whispered to her, telling her that Andi hadn't looked disgusted. Maybe...

She shook her head as she redressed. No, that was impossible! Maybe, a million to one, Andi would want to be friends with her still. But anything else...there was just no way.

The doctor had asked her how she was feeling too; and probed a bit more. He could tell she was distressed over something. Given what else was in her file, she knew he was worried she'd go home and do something stupid.

She wasn't quite that depressed. Yet.

As it was, Wendy knew she couldn't see Andi again. She just...she just couldn't take the heartbreak. So she'd slip out and then take pains to avoid the other woman when she came back; maybe even change providers again.

Wendy left the examination room and walked the opposite way from where she knew Andi was stationed and usually hung out. She'd get outside, walk around to her car, go home, and then collapse in tears. She could make it that long.

She was so upset with herself! She had a chance, a real chance, and she blew it! Her freakish, messed up body...oh, and she had to have a hard on when Andi came in too! If only she hadn't been thinking about her friend's pretty face, her smiling lips...how it felt to hug her. What it might feel like if...

Wendy was so lost in thought that she wasn't watching where she was going. She rounded a corner and walked right into a scrubs clad nurse's aid who seemed similarly distracted. "Oof! Oh, I'm-aHh!" It was-, "Andi! Oh, I'm sorry! I..."

Her face was bright red and she looked down at her feet. "I...I'm sorry you s-saw...it." She shook her head, "I know...I know that it's...that I'm...I w-won't bother you anymore, I promise."

I wonder just how big it is. I wonder if it's in her files? Oh god, I can't be thinking about this stuff-!?

Andi shook her head again as she tried to get back to work, moving the same pile of papers from one part of the counter to the next, then back to where it had originally come from. Busy work. Braindead work. She couldn't think at all.

Well.
She could think.
Just not on work related stuff.

Water. Something. Go get a drink, stop doing this. There was a water cooler back in that little break room, maybe just a quick coneful of water would help clear her head and-

"Gah-! Oh, jeez, I'm so sorry, I was-"
"Andi! Oh, I'm sorry! I..."

She stared at Wendy for a moment, her eyes wide, quickly reddening just as badly as the other girl stammering out apologies. "No- No, it was my fault, I should have knocked and just set that down and not come in and I really really shouldn't have looked and..." She drew a breath. She had to find something else. Anything else, to say.

It sounded like Wendy didn't want to see her anymore.
No... It sounded more like she thought Andi didn't want to see her anymore.

"Please don't think that," She stated softly. "At least now I understand. I don't have to be so worried that something terrible is happening to my friend..." She reached out, gently taking the other girl's hand and smiling. "You'll... you'll still come with me this weekend, right? I'm sorry on what- happened... I'm sure we can just forget."

Maybe. Doubtfully. That's not an image I'm forgetting too soon.

"You're still my friend... I hope..."

Wendy couldn't speak as Andi said words that...that she didn't think were possible. She looked at her friend with wide, wondering eyes; her face perplexed as though she didn't quite understand what she was hearing. Or as if she did but it was completely different from what she'd expected to hear.

It was only the touch of Andi's hand that made her really believe it wasn't just another daydream.

She shifted her hand in Andi's to take hold of it; her skin was warm and soft and wonderful. Wendy knew she needed to say something; but even though she opened her mouth, there weren't any words coming out.

After a few more awkward moments of trying to speak, Wendy just hugged her friend. She felt a few tears slip free and slide down her face, but not for the reason she was expecting to cry today. She felt...she felt so happy it was insane. Like raw, golden happiness would just come bursting out of her chest. Her arms squeezed the other girl tightly, and she was finally able to whisper, "Thank you, oh, Andi, thank you. I was so afraid you'd hate me, l-like everyone else and...you don't know what this means to me."

She pulled back and sniffed, smiling and pulling a handkerchief from a skirt pocket to dab at her eyes. "Yes, I'm your friend and I would love to be with you this weekend."

Wendy shook her head, "Don't worry about, um, before or about...forgetting." She flushed again, "My condition is pretty hard to forget. I've tried." She nibbled her lower lip, "Besides I mean, that you know and...still like me...that's something I'd like to keep, you know? I've never had a friend who knew the, uh, the "whole me" and was okay with it. It would be nice. Hell, it would be a dream!"

What now?

"Well, um, I know you have, like, a million questions about...all this. But I know you're working and I wouldn't want to talk about it here." What was she doing? Her heart was pounding in her chest and she was wringing her handkerchief with both hands. What was she thinking? "After your shift, if you want, we could talk on the phone or...or get together somewhere and you can ask me whatever you want."

The hug threw her off at first, Andi slowly reaching up to pat the girl's back. Right , all that and... you give her a football player's pat. What the hell's wrong with you?!

"I wouldn't hate you over this, Wendy...," She replied softly. "I- I admit to being a bit confused, but... but I don't hate you..." She reddened a bit again as Wendy explained how hard it was to forget exactly what she had seen. Yeah, no kidding.

The offer to explain on things and answer her questions received a nod and smile, that awkward nervousness returning. "That would... that would really help, yeah. I just- I don't want to make things uncomfortable..."

Like you must be with that erection I saw- GOD DAMMIT BRAIN KNOCK IT OFF!

She made a sudden wincing expression as she inwardly yelled at herself, quickly forcing a smile instead. "I get off- My shift ends at 4. We could... maybe meet up at the coffeeshop a bit down the road? My apartment's two blocks over, I usually just walk or take a cab..."

She took a breath again, then let a new smile come through. "I'm not upset at all. And I hope you're not either. I really, really didn't mean to... to wander in.. and... yeah." She wasn't sure where this apology was going. "I'll, um... see you at 4?"

She glanced over, seeing Joey starting to wander back up from the back offices, a stack of folders in his arms. "Feel free to give me a call, okay?" She smiled again. "I'll see you then."

Wendy felt a pang of remorse for the obvious awkwardness her friend was feeling but it was hard to really focus on. She felt like singing! Andi knew and she still wanted to be friends! That was...that was a miracle!

She shook her head, "No, it won't be uncomfortable. I've answered questions about it a lot before...just to doctors, not, um, my pretty friend." She flushed, trying not to think of the things she'd been imagining before Andi stepped into the examination room.

No, that would not help at all. Which is why the thoughts kept coming; especially since Andi didn't seem to mind her condition. Maybe-

Wendy blinked and bit down on the inside of her cheek to chase that line of thinking away. "Oh, um, yes! Have a good shift, I'll call you around 4 and we'll meet up." She waved as Andi walked away and smiled at her. Then she looked around to get her bearings and headed back towards the main entrance area.

Once out of Andi's sight, she looked around and then did a little jumping dance for a few seconds, laughing happily. Oh, it was too good to be true! On her way out, she could tell the receptionist at the front desk with her broad smile and merry wave.

It took some effort not to dance all the way to her car in the parking lot. She managed by remembering that she really didn't want to look like a total nutjob.

She almost drove home to change clothes. But that would be even crazier than the parking lot dance; this was a friendly get together, not a date! Instead, she went to the local super bookstore to sit and read.

She really didn't get any reading done. As she waited for Andi's shift to end and to call her, she began to grow more and more nervous. Andi didn't mind now, but what about once she knew more? What if the nurse's aid was interested clinically but not personally? What if Wendy got another hard on when they were together?

The fretful futanari was distracted enough by her worries that she missed 4 o'clock by a good ten minutes. She dialed Andi as soon as she noticed though, getting up from her seat at the little coffee bar in the store and heading for the door. "Hi, Andi! I'm sorry I'm a little late in calling; I got distracted by, um, well, by worrying. I worry a lot when my, uh, condition comes up. So, what's up? How did your shift go?"

The rest of her afternoon seemed rather uneventful, Andi actually thankful for the sudden rush of business about the hospital. Rushing this way and that, it felt as though the time had flown by before Joey was coming to tap her on the shoulder- "Hey. We can go now. Hurry up, before they try to rope us into more random work in the file rooms!"

Andi was off to the women's locker rooms before Joey could even get his name tag off. her planned evening was already on her mind, thoughts on spending time with Wendy bringing a smile to her face. Sure, this new... information... was something a bit unexpected, but she wasn't going to let it become something to kill a friendship. Okay, a bit surprising. A bit more than a bit.

But Wendy was still WENDY. The girl she'd hung out with for over a month, almost every day... There was nothing that changed THAT.

A quick shower, and she was back to her day clothes- a pair of jeans, a fitted black tank, and the single red bead necklace being dropped around her neck as she headed out. Her phone just started to ring as she moved through the parking lot, answering it with a smile. "No worries, Wendy! I took a quick shower. I hate smelling like a hospital the rest of the day... I should be there in a few!" As she spoke, she was already heading across the road, seeing the little cafe not that far down the walk... and Wendy approaching from the opposite direction. "Hey, I see you! Let's get a table outside, okay?"

Closing her phone, she found that she managed to make it there first- not by much. Taking a seat at one of the little tables, she smiled as Wendy approached, pointing over her shoulder to the menu. "Want something? My treat. I'd go for the double chocolate mocha and a cheeseburger. Betcha Maddie brings me one without even asking what I want... I come here waaay too much...," She added with a laugh, more a nervous sound than anything else.

Foods ordered, drinks arriving, the two spoke on their respective days, their respective thoughts on the impending weekend...

But there was one subject that seemed untouched for the longest of times.
Andi played with the straw of her nearly-emptied drink, finally working up the guts to ask. "Does... um. Does it... hurt at all?," She asked softly, glancing at her friend hesitantly. "I mean... did it just- develop? Or was it always...?"

It was kind of funny and a total shock when Wendy realized that Andi was almost as nervous as she was!

The cheeseburger she got was good, as was the chocolate shake she got with it, but the best thing of all was just sharing a meal with a friend and talking. It was wonderful, even when they were just talking about their days and what the weekend would be like. All so simple, so banal, but for Wendy it was novel and new. She only ever talked about her days with a therapist.

However, the conversation wound down and got closer and closer until finally Andi broached the subject of her condition. Wendy blushed and shook her head, leaning in towards Andi a bit more. She did not want anyone over hearing this! "It doesn't hurt unless, well, I hit it or it gets tangled. Or if I go too long without..." She blushed even brighter red. "Um, you know. If I go too long without, uh, releasing the pressure or if I get "excited" and can't do anything about it."

Oh, God, this was SO embarrassing! But...but also kind of...nice to talk about it. And a little...no, no, she wouldn't think about that.

She squirmed in her seat a bit, hoping it wouldn't decide to make an appearance or get too excited. "I've always been like this; it's...bizarre and freakish but natural. My parents kept me very isolated when I was younger, so for a while, I didn't even know I was different. I thought every girl was like me. But...that didn't last..."

Wendy shook her head. "I guess it's really rare...the doctors say there are others like me but I've never met any of them." She shrugged and then glanced over at Andi, trying to gauge how she was taking all this. "What else do you want to ask? Please, anything. I'm an open book; I want to share all of it, if you want to know it."

Andi reddened a bit as she realized she was embarassing Wendy with her questions... but the curiosity was also driving her mad. She hated to come off as a prying gawker... It drove her nuts to be even pushing a patient through the hospital that may have had something "off" about them- an elderly patient that rambled as they strolled, a child screaming over an injury... So to even possibly be coming off as a nosy person wasn't exactly what she had intended.

At least Wendy didn't seem too upset on the whole thing. She started to warm up to the conversation, though did look a tad hesitant to talk about it too much with all the wandering people passing by. Maybe the whole 'does it hurt' was a dumb question to start with.

"Not exactly the same boat, but... I have webbed toes. Imagine my surprise when I found out that's not a common thing...." She smiled a bit, glancing over at Wendy. She actually wanted to talk about it more? Andi looked back to her empty drink a moment, then took a deep breath. "I don't want to ask anything you feel uncomfortable talking about... I mean- Yes, I'm curious. I don't mean to come off as prying, or nosy, or just a- a gawker or something. I'm more curious on everything because... because it's you. You're a very unique person, Wendy. And I don't mean just- that."

She reached across the table, grasping the girl's hand with a smile. "I mean the Wendy I met in that waiting room. The girl who laughed at my stupid jokes. Shares my snacks with me. That I help mess up the blood tests of by sneaking her sodas and chips." She smirked with that, giggling softly.

"What... what is it that you've been doing at the hospital, then?," She asked softly. "The rarity of the case or something? Why do they need samples?" She paused, thinking a moment on that. "Wait. What- What did they want me to get a sample OF today?" She looked over at her, surprised. "Does it- work? I mean- there's.... everything?"

It was rather hard to ask her questions without actually asking bluntly... She really didn't want other people to notice too much on their conversation.

It wasn't the same boat, but it made Wendy see a little bit how Andi could understand. She bet other kids weren't nice about that with Andi; kids could be cruel about the smallest of things.

She gave Andi's hand a squeeze, loving the touch and what it meant, and smiled back at her friend. "I don't feel like you're prying or a gawker, Andi." She flushed again, but it was a rosy, happy color rather than scarlet embarrassment. "I like that you want to know about me. Me as a person all around, you know? I can't remember the last time I was that to someone; not just a customer or a client or an interesting medical case."

She stroked the other young woman's fingers with her thumb, "You're pretty amazing that way, Andi. Not many people would want to be around me, let alone touch me."

Andi's next set of questions elicited a deep blush but also a laugh from the brunette. Wendy nibbled her lower lip and looked over at her friend, "It's hard to talk about without getting naughty, isn't it?"

She looked around and thought about asking Andi if they could go somewhere private but...would that sound as dirty out loud as it did in her head? She giggled again and then answered, "Well, um, I do have both and they...both work." Wendy made a motion that she hoped indicated a sack but may have just been a shadow puppet duck of some kind, "You might have, um, seen the bulge. And yeah, I...uh, they want to know if I could...um...be a dad, so...that was the sample that I, uh, left for the doctor."

Her cheeks were bright red when she finished talking, but she was still smiling; a naughty and sweet little smile. "I think if we're going to talk much more about that, we should be a little less, um, public. And maybe have a few stronger drinks." She then held up her hands, "Just throwing out the idea, I mean! I'm not trying to, uh, be bad, you know? ...Okay, now I just sound stupid. But you know what I mean, right?"

Andi reddened a bit on her own at Wendy's comment of the innocent talks coming off as anything but. "Yeah... It's a bit... hard." Well, that wasn't really a helpful comment either, was it?

But at least Wendy was willing to try and answer- as best she could in the current situation. The explanation held her attention as both a nursing student and a curious friend, surprised at what she had to say. Everything... worked?

... Father a child...?
She gave a tiny noise as the purpose of the cup she had brought was fully explained, Andi rubbing at her neck at the reminder of what she had seen. "I... Um. A little bit. I didn't- see... um."

God, now the both of them were so reddened and nervously smirking that it actually LOOKED like they'd been drinking far more than just shakes at the table. With Wendy's suggestion of getting true alcohol into their system, Andi quickly agreed, getting up from her chair. "We could go back to my place-!"

Wow.
Suggestive much?

"I mean- I have some beers and some wine there, and my roommate is out of town for the next two weeks. There's no one around to pry into our conversation. I'm just up the road a bit, around the next corner.... Unless... you're not comfortable with that?" She glanced at her, a rather worried look on her face. "I don't want you to think I'm trying to, y'know. Hide away what we're talking about. It's just... not exactly family diner friendly." She smiled a touch with that, taking a twenty dollar bill from her pocket. "Here, like I said... I've got this."

It wasn't hard now, though it was tingling.

The thought floated into her head before she could stop it in response to Andi's comment and she couldn't help but giggle a little through her blush. She felt gratified that Andi was blushing too; it was an embarrassing subject to talk about.

At the suggestion of going back to Andi's, Wendy felt a flutter of....she wasn't sure what in her stomach. Happiness, nervousness, anticipation, even...excitement? Andi didn't mean that!

Wendy got up as well, "I'd love to, Andi, thank you." She did wonder for a moment what this must look like to anyone who was watching. For all they knew, the two of them were going to Andi's for a drunken lesbian romp! Which would be-

Don't think about it!

The curvy young woman smiled at her friend and picked up her purse, "I don't think anything of the kind; you're right, our discussion is starting to get past NC-17 at this point."

"I'm very comfortable with it. Let's go! Next time though, it's my treat, okay?"

Next time. Yeah. She liked the sound of that. "Sure thing."
She led Wendy down the sidewalk toward her apartment, conversations managing to steer back to more 'public' subjects- her roomie's weird habits (NEVER washing her coffeemug? Ew!), the surprisingly low levels of traffic, the strange waves of heat coming in lately....

When they finally reached her door, she gave a smile. "Told you. Alcohol... Not a problem." She laughed at that, nodding to the liquor store door next to her own apartment's doorway. "One of the perks of living over one. Rent's decent, city wifi, and tons of tiny sized bottles passed up to us every month. Best part is, I get to actually have some this month! Roomie usually steals them all!" She gave a grin, unlocking her door and holding it for Wendy. "Come on in! The stairs lead right up to the living room."

Closing it behind her, she was only a few steps lagging, clicking on the light as they hit the entryway. "Sorry for all the books... I've been in a big study session the last few nights." Pushing the books off the arm of the couch, she gestured to it, smiling. "Beer? Wine? Itty bitty random bottle?" She laughed with that, starting toward the small kitchen.

"I.... I'm sorry if.... My questions were a bit badly phrased. I guess I didn't really think on that before saying anything..." She was in the fridge now, pawing for the drinks. "But thank you for being so open with me..."

It was certainly a student's apartment; that was for sure. Books were all over, and note books as well. But it was also lived in and warm. She liked that. "Don't apologize, I didn't really give you any notice I'd be here. Your place is nice!"

Wendy thought a moment when asked about her drink preference and then laughed, "Random itty bitty bottle sounds like a drinking game to play later on. I'll start with wine, I think." She shrugged, blushing a little, "It might sound silly but...I always feel more feminine drinking wine and, well, that's important to me sometimes."

The pretty futanari followed Andi to the kitchen. As her friend bent over to rummage through the fridge, Wendy's eyes drifted to the way her backside wiggled slightly this way and that. Oh. Oh, she really shouldn't think about that or stare..but...

"What?" She blinked, not aware Andi had spoken. Her brain then caught up, filling her in on what the medical student had said. "Oh! No, please. It's not like you've ever had to ask questions about something like this before, you know? Maybe...you can think of it like off-the-job training?" Wendy leaned on the kitchen counter with a faint, sad smile. "I actually...feel pretty good talking about it with you. I mean, I spend my whole life lying to everyone I know about my, uh, condition. So...even if it's a little embarrassing at first, it's very refreshing to not have to lie."

Wendy then smiled as Andi turned to face her, "But I'll turn the tables! Next time we'll talk about you."

"As long as it doesn't offend you...," Andi started hesitantly, pulling out one of the wine bottles and setting it on the counter. "I won't lie and say it's not a... Question raising development...."

As she reached up to get the glasses, she couldn't help but laugh at the promise of her own bout of queries. "Oh dear... I'm not sure how much you can get from me... I'm a bit of a jumble, but boring. I'd hate to put you to sleep." She smiled, pouring out a glass each, handing Wendy one and clutching the bottle to carry with her to the living room along with her glass.

"Those studies... There's a chance you could- I mean, when you- um." She frowned, rubbing her cheek nervously. This was harder than she thought, even in private. "I just... Maybe it would be easier if you explained it to me. I only.... Saw.... The... I saw there's obviously something else there... I..."

She gave a soft sigh, shaking her head and managing to gulp down her drink in 2 passes to her lips. "I guess I'm curious on how it's... Setup there." Yup. Refill that glass. Gonna need it.

There were other questions. So many other questions.
Ones she knew better than to actually say.
Can I see it?
Can I touch it?
What happens if you cum?
Have you ever fucked someone?

Another drink. A long one.
There was a problem developing. She knew what was under that skirt.... And now it left her incredibly curious.
