My friend keeps bugging me to rent, "Magnolia." I don't want to, but sometimes I say I will just so she'll shut up about it.

You should rent the documentary, "American Movie." You're not going to do it, though, are you.

Beth likes "The Secretary", "Boondocks Saints", and some other movie I can't recall... I haven't seen any of them.

However, I got her to watch "Anchorman"--which was glorious.

That other movie you can't recall was pretty good. Not as good as "American Movie," but better than "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan."

There's Something About Mary - haven't seen it, probably never will. I don't care how much my friends say they liked it, or how it's 'not what I think' and really funny.

I liked There's something about Mary, but it wasn't all that. Has anyone else seen Duets. I LOVEIT:D

I haven't seen a lot of 80' s horror movies. (Jason, Freddie, Nightmare on Elm Street)

My best friend wants me to watch Sling Blade. I'm not going to do it. I'm sure it was wonderful, but I have no desire to see it. And you couldn't pay me to sit through Forest Gump, again.

"Area Girlfriend Has Never Seen Apocalypse Now" was one of my favorite news stories in the Onion.

You should find it and read it if you haven't. And of course you should see Apocalypse now.

I love the Onion, but I must admit, while I have seen Das Boot, in German! I have never seen Apocalyse Now. Me ex loved it, but I managed to never watch it.

So you are the mysterious "Area Boyfriend."

I am never seeing Passion of The Christ or whatever the hell it is called.

If they wanted to make a movie about Jesus, they should have centered it around the Sermon on The Mount. That's where he said all the important stuff.

I never did want to see Napoleon Dynamite, the Royal Tenembaums, or Best in Show. Mockumentaries just aren't my thing.

God help you, Carson, if you also haven't seen "To King A Mockingbird" and you ever have to host a dinner party honoring Robert DuVall.

"I love the smell of ______ in the morning."

The answer is "Boo Radley."

But the sex was in The Last Temptation of Christ. Or I think it was. Isn't that why it was boycotted? I was dying to see it during the boycott. Later, you couldn't get it at Blockbuster. I could order it online now, if I wanted to, but that makes it less exciting.

I saw the Royal Tanenbaums. Let me rephrase that. My roommate at the time brought it home, and my sister and I started watching it until we both realized that neither one of us liked it and turned it off. There's no need to see it, Dar. None at all.

It was funny in the theaters. I don't think it would be funny at home. Like Austin Powers. Some movies are funny because you're watching them with hundreds of laughing people.

In fact, I don't laugh out loud nearly as much when I'm watching at home.

I said I never wanted to I unfortunately have seen both Royal tenembaums and Best in Show neither were enjoyable to me.

Royal Tanenbaums was supposed to be funny???

Ah, Austin Powers. Another one on my list of movies I'm never planning to see, no matter how many times it's on cable or how many people tell me it's shagadelic.

I believe the correct answer is actually "sex."

I know I got chastized for writing a Haiku using the line "Love smell of sex in morning" because it was in poor taste and if it hadn't been a correct quote, someone on this board would have done me the favor of correcting me like I am doing for you.

Isn't Boo Radley is the guy who sang "Blueberry Hill."

I hated "There's Something About Mary." Torturing Ben Stiller for hours is not my idea of entertainment.

I am never seeing Passion of The Christ
--What he said. Watching torture for hours isn't my idea of entertainment.

But the sex was in The Last Temptation of Christ.
--Trust me, that wasn't enough to lift it out of the stultifying sea of boredom it exists within. :(

And here I thought it was Napalm . . .you people have some freaky fetishes.

I wasn't sure about Magnolia until it began raining frogs. From that point on I knew I was in the company of greatness. I'm told the director originally wanted to use rabbits but ran into opposition from the magic guild.

I have a friend who won't shut up about Napolean Dynamite. She asks me if I've seen it every other day and when I reply, "No," she'll always say, "You need to watch that movie!" Drives me fucking NUTS!! I'm not watching that movie EVER, just on principle.

I dug the Royal Tenenbaums and think Passion of the Christ was a milestone in cinema.

However, someone had to pay me to go see Lord of the Rings. They had to buy me dinner, and the ticket, and I still fell asleep halfway through it for a good fifteen minutes (until people got loud during one of the "valient fighting time" scenes).

Hey, you should see it. It's really good.

No seriously, it's a surprisingly sweet and gentle movie, and terribly refreshing. And if you have kids, it's a terrific antidote to the Disney Kid movies they're always watching.

You have to have a very offbeat sense of humor to get it though. It just goes right by a lot of people.

And if you like Napoleon, you'll like "American Movie". They're kind of like mirror images of one another.
