What do you absolutely not want to see in someone's avatar, that's legal in Lit? Why? If someone puts a thoroughly objectionable av up, what should be done about it? Why?

I'd rather not see anyone use pics of any serial killers for an av.

Wanted to add...I really don't get bothered by anyone's avs. I've even grown accustomed to Outsiders.
So, as long as it's legal who cares. Besides we have the option to turn off looking at avs if need be.

There are several av's that I don't care for. As long as it's not something "illegal" to lit, then there's nothing to be done.
If that's how someone wants to represent themselves, so be it. I probably won't read their posts if I'm offended by their av, but they probably won't care anyway.

A few are a little strange.....not mine of course. But then again I think the person's AV is what they want to project to everyone else. In my case if it ain't clear that I want to enjoy this Pace and have fun then I don't know what then. My only fear is that at some point I may WANT to express myself in a serious manner and the stupid Buged eyed Mr. Bean will screw me....Oh well fuck it.

I don't think I have found anyone's av offensive. There are several that I don't care for, but I am not going to stop reading their posts because of it. I'm just not going to look at the av. 
And if anyone ever finds one of my av's offensive, please PM me. Don't bring it up on the board, since there seems to be enough controversy on here lately. And I like to play nice...

I love Outsider's AVs they are hilarious!
I don't like AVs that make me turn all of them off. I never know when someone is going to walk into the front room/comuter room and I hate it when I have the AVs on and someone walks in.
When I am alone, I can turn them on.

Summer Rose's current av scared me ay first. I thought she was in jail. No joke. I've never seen one of hers that wasn't beautiful, because she always uses the same fancy fashionmodel.
Xander's old av projected excess anger to me & I didn't like to
look at it, so I missed out on his sense of humor.
There have been a couple avs I didn't like, but the people who had
'em don't always use them, so they must have been trying them out.
I focus on positive av feedback.
