Yes, a friend of mine works for CNN and emailed me the news. They are still waiting for confirmation but he reports that it looks like the real thing. Bush is holding a conference for 8pm tonight and this news is expected to be what the conference is about. He also told me that it is being reported that bombing of Iraq will begin March 13th and troops will enter the country on St. Patty's day. Oh those damn leprechauns!

I haven't heard from you in a while. Geeze, should I break into the Reba McIntyre song about "Why Haven't I Heard From You"? LOL! I just sent email to my "source" at CNN for an update on the Bin Laden story. I don't make the news, I only report it.

I've been away from Lit. I haven't been posting much at all. I got involved with a big project at work and had to work lots of hours for a while. The non-profit that I support got real busy too and we had to go through budgets for about 20 departments, just lots and lots of RL getting in the way. I have a break for a couple days, but then the long hours will start again

Update on possible Osama capture
In response to my inquiry to my friend at CNN on the latest news of the reported capture of CNN, this is his response:
We don't know if he's been captured or not. We are hearing that he was from more unreliable sources while the government is denying it. At this point, I would say that he wasn't. If he was, they're holding the information so Bush can announce it tonight. That's the feeling around here. It's kind of odd that this national press conference popped up today......

I heard the same rumored report on the radio on my way home. Allegedly, the report comes from an Israeli source or news service, though my frantic internet searches are finding bupkus.
From what I can find, bin Laden's location has been pinned down to the Baluchistan province of Pakistan according to both Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and a former chief of intelligence for the Taliban. This has been known by US and Pakistani Intelligence since last week, apparently. It's not out of the realm of speculation that in that week, they've managed to locate and capture him, but I just can't confirm it. Fleisher, various government sources, and the CIA are firmly denying that he's been captured, according to Reuters.
Canada.com is reporting that US and Pakistani agents have conducted at least two raids in southwestern Baluchistan since last week and US planes have been dropping leaflets all over the area, including a city there, advertising the 25 million dollar reward for bin Laden.
Ari Fleisher, the White House Press Secretary has canceled his customary news briefing and that happened not that long ago. The President is holding a prime-time news briefing tonight at 8 PM.
I know this isn't exactly what we've been looking for, but it's about the best I can get out there.
