Original Sin

What's sin?

I'd consider murder, theft, cruelty, among others, to be classified as sin.

As for original sin, the loss of innocence, I don't feel that it qualifies.

Are you talking about the original sin? The one that took place in the Garden of Eden, with Adam and Eve disobeying God for the first time? (eating the fruit He'd told them not to eat)

Or are you talking about something else entirely, like sinning in a very original way?

Biblically speaking, isn't it when Eve took a bite of the apple/fig?

I'm not looking for a specific answer...just thoughts in general. I recently saw the movie..."Original Sin", it had nothing to do with apples, Adam, or Eve and everything to do with sex.

Oh and one more thing...the concept of original sin may not even exist for someone who doesn't subscribe to Christianity, thus my curiosity for answers.

No PB........

sex definitely doesn't qualify. That is a myth perpetualized by organized religion.;)

I never saw that movie....but since after eating the forbidden fruit, they realized they were naked, then sex would come naturally.

Wouldn't the Bible be more exciting if after they realized they were naked, instead of covering up and being ashamed, they fucked like rabbits?

Original Sin was placed upon mankind because of the revolt of Adam. It occurs during procreation. You are stamped with Original Sin the moment the sperm touches the egg. The Jews never had a remedy for it. In the Christian faith I believe you're stuck with it until you die.

Dear, the concept of "sin" is a Judeo-Christian construct
