Oregon

Hello fellow Oregonians...

I finally found it!! Hunted and hunted for days, weeks, years even...finally gave up and started a northwest thread. Starting to get a few going and more are always welcome. Please feel free to drop by and say hello. And I will do the same. Anything going on in this part of Oregon that I should know about...*curious minds want to know* lol.

There is a "Search" function to this board btw....

lol

Lol...

Use a search feature?? naaaaa....that would be to easy lol. It is much more fun getting lost by trying to read each and every thread that has been written here and getting sidetracked down a merry road...NIce to know that there are so many other minds in this world that think along the same lines that I do.

Yeah...not many people have heard of Oregon...we try to keep it a secret as much as possible. *smile*

Hey, that's good! The less people, the more space without people we can go and get nekkid in the woods!

I got a new house for Christmas. Well at least new to me. I get the keys tomorrow. Now anyone available can come and help me paint :D

Hehe, no painting!! When I bought my place, we painted every interior wall and then started work on the exterior. My place is only just shy of 1500 sq ft, but man it has a ton of walls!!!

Congrats to you S.O., I hope it's the house of your dreams!! :nana:

Congrats! I just bought one this year too. It's a block from my work, so walking to work totally rocks! Also painted the outside this year myself!

The new to me house saga continues. It is taking forever to paint. One bed room was purple, one deep turquoise, one florescent pepto bismo pink. After a round of Kilz primer and 7 gallons of paint, I have salvaged the bedrooms. You have to wonder what people think. I still have lots more painting to do

Alwaysawake was over today and put in some new phone jacks :D And Calvin has agreed to help me move. What more can a gal ask for.

Tell AA that he needs to email me sometime so we can have lunch! Or at least meet up at the Coli or Rose Garden as planned. :)

Her attic sucks and the fricking blown-in insulation, too....was in there four times today and that Pepto Bismol pink bedroom was atrocious! lol She forgot to mention the burgundy carpet that meshed so well with everything! :D And Fawn....you can always leave me an offline on Yahoo as I haven't posted on the boards for 6 weeks--just don't get in here much.

Happy Holidaze to all...AA

Don't even get me started on painting. My house if 5 years old and I had to repaint it because of pealing paint and rotting trim. I did it myself with sanding, Killz and two coats of GOOD paint.

Ain't homeowning a bitch!

Owning a home is both blessing and curse...mine is a 1911 and the things we have found while remodeling are weird...like the original stairs covered and re-routed into another room. I just spent the better part of 6 months sanding and painting and carpeting *ughhhh* Im boycotting all further projects for at least three months!

On the flip side...when you get it all fixed up it sure makes you feel good!

Well, my latest adventure is I wanted new glide runners on my kitchen drawers, the ones you can open and close with one finger. Well, my dad says he wants to do it. So a month ago he removed all the hardware from the drawers and cupboards, and hasn't come back to finish the job. So using the items out of the drawers is a real project. I am begining to feel like I am on a permanent camping trip.
