Ordering Take In

This is God's way of telling you that you have too much Kung Pao Chicken grease on your thighs.

Yeah, if you'd had too much Almond Chicken juice in your bra, they would have got it right cause Gawd wants to lick it off.

ARGH!

There is one place in my town that I really love. The only problem is that it's a long drive, not very close. Well, they take delivery orders.

I have ordered one time from them by delivery. In order to order this Chinese food, it took me almost 30 minutes and discussions with 4 people to get my order right - because they couldn't speak English well.

They arrived at my house about an hour after the call because they had incorrectly written down my address. They weren't able to process my debit card payment, because they got that number wrong as well.

So, I decided to call them today. I like the food, it's the best. But, after 10 minutes and getting nothing accomplished other than repeating my address 17 times, I hung up.

Fax works best for this. A good argument for having one at home.

Then he'll just have to wait in line. I love Almond Chicken.

i love chinese food but i always order way to much and end up eating it for about a week ... we have a really good take-away just up the road and round corner we also have a very good indian next to it ... we're lucky for take aways here :)

i love crispy chili beef i think thats my fav dish at the moment :)

oh and roast pork chow mein ... hmmm kinda wish that my mother hadn't made meatballs for tonight (although they are really good too :))

Our favorite local Chinese restaurant accepts faxes, phone in, dine in, and now even internet orders. We have found much much the same experience in mis communication especially over the phone. Sometimes, depending upon which clerk is working the same can be said for face to face communication. In an effort to make sure they get it right I usually point to the item or items on the menu and then with a nod of the head (universal language) confirm the order. Occasionally I still get some gawd awful soup concoction with chunks of tofu in it instead of my favorite egg drop soup.
The worst time communicating I can EVER remember having was at a Holiday Inn in Orlando at the front desk. That is another story in itself........

Even the Chinese Take-Aways near me are run by Indians :D

My friend from Hong Kong specifically asked for someone Chinese to talk to

Orange Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup.

mmmmmm....yep, that's what I'm going to go have.

bye!!!
