One Dead, 6 Injured After Fire Breaks Out in Trump Tower
Todd Brassner, the single fatality in Saturday's inferno, was found unconscious and died hours later at Mount Sinai West hospital, authorities said.
FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro noted the blaze was harder to fight because the building's residential floors lacked sprinklers and fire was on the 50th floor.

When a sprinkler law was eventually passed, Trump was exempted from having to follow it at Trump Tower because the rule only stipulated that high-rises built after 1999 had to have sprinklers installed.
