Does any1 have any explanatiions for stis from performing and recieveing oral sex from any and all partners?? I have something going on with my mouth and dick but health clinic says i,m clean .What gives? Is there some kind of secret disorder among people who like to suck dick????

If you're clean of STI's and experiencing discomfort or something else irritating, maybe there's an allergy or a skin issue going on... Personally, I'm allergic to a lot of things on my skin, like lotions, soaps, cleaning chemicals, etc...

If the health clinic is focused on STI's, maybe you should see a regular doctor, or a dermatoligist about whatever else is going on.

Some questions

Sucking dick can transmit herpes (genital and oral - both rare), syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis A, HPV (warts), and shigella. However, chlamydia and gonorrhea would be in your throat, not mouth and a trained clinician would easily be able to identify herpes by sight if you had active lesions. Theoretically there is a small risk for HIV but this is very rare and wouldn't carry immediate symptoms. Sometimes, people with advanced HIV (but not necessarily AIDS) can develop yeast/thrush in their mouths and sometimes on the skin.

Do you know specifically what they tested you for at the clinic? Sometimes they may only test you for one or two conditions based on the part of the country you live in and how honest you feel safe being when it comes to revealing your sexual behaviors. Often, for instance, people assume that when they are going for an STI test they are automatically tested for HIV but almost always they are not...

Do you use condoms and/or lube for oral sex (and for vaginal or anal if you participate in these)? If so, yes, could be an allergy.

Do you have a new regular partner? If so, you could be "allergic" to the natural healthy bacteria that person carries on their skin (usually more of a problem for women).

I am not a clinician but am in the health care field and my job includes writing education and counseling (not diagnostic or treatment) protocols for STIs/HIV. I agree with Chicklet that something is definitely happening - it might or might not be an STI. I would ask the clinic what they tested you for and then as she suggested, go to a dermatologist (they are often trained in diagnosing STIs, also)...

Good luck!

If the blood tests and swabs come back ok...then it is most likely to be HPV. (warts)

They can't blood or urin test for warts. Its REALLY common and often the person you got it off won't even have visible warts...they can be so tiny and their body fights them off before they become visible to the naked eye.

If you just go to a doctor and tell him you think you have warts...they'll probably prescribe Aldara (not cheap) to get rid of them. Don't let them get out of hand though. Sometimes they go by themselves...sometimes they just keep growing. Get them checked.
