lavender, while a sad incident, it certainly helped me with my lack of faith in humanity...

Charles Romano Jr., on his skateboard, was close behind his sister, on her bicycle, at Golden Gardens Park in Ballard a week ago when he saw the dogs charging at his sister.
"My sister was ahead of me, and the dogs started chasing her, so I hurried up and went in front of her because she's littler, and if she got bit, it would be a lot worse for her," said Charlie, a third-grader at St. Anne's School on Queen Anne.
His sister was not hurt, but Charlie was bitten several times on his legs and back, his parents said, and one bite left punctures an inch and a half deep on one leg.
