Optimism vs Pessimism...

I am an optimist.

I optimistically think that my yahoo is going to magically get unstuck.

I call bullshit on that one. You don't come across as a pessimist...more of a sarcastic optimist.

mostly pessimist, depends on the subject

You haven't told us which one you are, bratcat.

Silverlily, everyone considers themself a realist.

There are some things we cannot change. I gotta learn to deal with that.

And by not worrying on that which we cannot change we can become optimistic about that which we can.

Not necessarily, I have a friend who always puts a positive spin on everything, even when he has to stretch the truth a little to get there. He's not a realist and knows it.

Besides, I only said I consider myself a realist, not unique.

i am a pessimist with optimistic intentions. i've been kicked in the ass by reality a few too many times to really truly call myself an optimist

Are you realistically optimistic or realistically pessimistic?

It depends on the situation. If conditions are favorable, I'm realistically optimistic. If otherwise, I would lean toward pessimistic. I really don't favor one over the other.

No, a lot of people know they are optimists or pessimists.

I am a realist as well. I try to be optimistic.

Optimist: Half full.
Pessimist: Half empty.
Realist: Half full and half empty.
