assholes. Everyone has one. Married people often think they have two.

i am going to pose a question and i realize it is going to get alot of backlash, but i am very interested to see just how people respond.. the tone and words used.

The Forums here are public. At one point you didn't have to be a member to even post ( not sure if that is still the policy or not ). The site prides itself on free speech for all, with a few understandable user policies.

i am VERY curious why people feel the need to talk down to, lash out at and berate users whose opinions, points of view or even at times, use of free speech is different than their own.

Some people post to ignite the battle of the words. If you come across a thread in which you don't agree with, what causes you to post rude, demeaning comments that sound like 3rd grade babble?

I love a good debate. Hell, i love a good battle of words as long as the person tossing the shit can manage to put together 4 words that make sense instead of saying "You are just a big dumb fuck". That really makes a statement doesn't it? Really shows 'your' opinion or why your opinion differs from that of the poster?

I enjoy a good debate, but it has to be a good one, with someone capable of a half-decent retort. I feel I can grow by listening to someone else's educated opinions. I know I don't know everything about anything, let alone everything about everything. My point of view may change when presented with facts I was unaware of... that's sort of the point to debate.

"You're a big dumb fuck" discredits any arguement a person has made. It still boggles my mind that people use similar insults.

If you're going to insult, at least be creative, you dumb fucks.

Usually all the mean things i say are in a joking manner, even if they aren't taken that way. Some of us just have a cutting sense of humour.

Most of the time i try to make an interesting discussion/debate out of whatever topic comes up. It doesn't always work. my mind doesn't always kick into gear soon enough for the thoughts to be coherent.
