opinion- should it be love or lust the first time?

Just looking to get other peoples' reactions to this because I've been thinking about it alot lately. I'm 20 and still a virgin, but not because I've never had the chance. I feel the first time I want it to be with someone I feel in love with. Not necessarily the person I'm going to marry, but not someone who I'm only attracted to physically. What do you all think? Am I right or wasting valuable time?

Learn to follow your heart now. No such thing as wasting valuable time if you eventually get what you want.
