Operator error?

I'm not for sure I'd I'm doing something wrong or if I have my settings wrong, but I've sent a dozen or so requests for an editor. Is there something that I'm missing?

Are you using the site's volunteer editor page, or this forum?

The site's volunteer editor page doesn't seem to work. To use the forum make sure that you have enabled personal messaging, then look to see who's available to edit in March (sticky thread at the top of the page), ask for a beta reader (sticky thread near the top of the page), or post your request here. Include the category you expect to post in and other kink's included in the story, give a word count and a synopsis. If you're looking for a schedule then say so. Maybe even post a paragraph-long sample to be thorough.

Ive gone to the Find an editor section. Ive created list of potential editors based on genre and their requests.

I fully understand numerous reasons of "why" and can only assume editors are in great demand. I did think I would at least receive a reply saying at least a no.
Since ive received no feedback I thought maybe I was doing something wrong in the process.
Since this post I have received a private message explaining some possible reasons why. Of which I'm very grateful, since it validates I at least know how send a private message
