Operation WHAT?

D-Day was code named Operation Overlord
In Kuwait we had Operation Desert Shield.
The attack against the Iraqis became Operation Desert Storm.

What bozo came up with "Operation Infinite Justice?"

Give me a break! It sounds like a crusade by a bunch of comic book heroes.

Not very catchy.

You have to admit it. The name sucks donkey dicks.

This is war. Give me rhetoric, or give me death!

definitely a weak name...

maybe the idea is lull Osama into a false sense of security with such a goofy name?

Still we should look on the bright side. At least it's not what I misheard Tom Brokaw name the mission on tonight's evening news:

Operation Impotent Justice

that wouldn't bode well for us, would it?

Someone post some sexy pics for this man so he will be appeased. He's picking nits!
Pediculus humanus capitis: human head lice. I once wrote a college paper comparing and contrasting two human parasites, lice (external) and liver flukes (interrnal). Unfortunately, i know WAY more about human parasites than anyone ought to know, which is part of the reason i *won't* eat sushi. Here's a little mini course. No, no, no, don't try to pay me. It's all free to you, my loved ones.

Biology of Head Lice

- Nits (the eggs of the head louse) are small yellowish-white, oval-shaped eggs that are "to the side of a hair shaft glued" at an angle
- Nits must be laid by live lice. You cannot "catch nits."
- Once laid, it takes 7-10 days for a nit to hatch, and another 7-10 days for the female to mature and begin laying her own eggs.
Head lice are clear in color when hatched, then quickly develop a reddish-brown color after feeding.
- Head lice are about the size of sesame seeds.
- Head lice have six legs equipped with claws to grasp the hair.
- Head lice are crawling insects. They cannot hop, jump, or fly.
- Head lice do not thrive on pets.
- Head lice are small, wingless insects which need human blood in order to survive.
- Head lice live for approximately 30 days on a host and a female louse may lay up to 100 nits (eggs).
- Head lice off of their human hosts will not survive for more than 24 hours.

The pic is of a nit attached to a head hair.

Oh this is such an interesting thread!

Here are nits compared in size to the head of a pin.

...and my top choice of a name to replace
Operation Stupidfuckingname is:

Operation Disembowel-A-Terrorist

I like Operation Create-A-Martyr.

Give them what they want and what we want- kill to birds with one stone, so to speak.

Yeah i saw that today in the news. The most stupid name for any military operation i have ever seen. It is almost as bad as the little slogans the news programs come up with.

I swear they should fire who ever comes up with the names for some of these things. I could do a much better job.

Operation Infinite ass-kicking

is a good one

I thought cymbidia's post was quite festinating lavender. To each their own, you know? I'm certain you wouldn't be too happy if you posted something and cym came along to tell you to stick to politics.

Festering? You calling my Happy Human Parasites thread detour "festering"?
Put 'em up, girlie... let me kiss 'em...

Um... lavender? I hereby solemnly swear to try to avoid all such off-topic detours forever after.
You got that "try" in there, right? Right?

 Ooops, must have been a typo.

fascinating, cym is quite fascinating...
